Lessons Learned on changing the CCT

Hey Alan, no white bikes in the stable yet. We did do a fair amount of maintenance this winter though. New tapered bearings in the steering stems, replaced all of the stock bearings in the relay arms and swing arms, replaced the thermostats, new coolant, greased the drive shaft splines...

Lessons Learned on changing the CCT

Has anyone considered using allen socket head bolts in lieu of the stock hex head bolts with the ground-in slot? I have to tackle this project later this week and I thought I would pick up the socket head bolts to try.

We agree with Art. Herba's about an hour West of Albany, but we have found that they do a great job.

    Yamaha Announces 2011 FJR

I just called customer relations at Yamaha Corp., to vent to them about the non-color change. I indicated to "Ty" that apparently Yamaha doesn't listen/read FJR forums to see what the FJR riders are requesting in a new model. I also indicated that we (my wife Iris and I) were looking to buy...

    FJR Green/White MTN ride 2010

Definately....."Rte. 100 from either 8 or 9, then maybe up to 4E". When you get up near Rt 4, pick up Rt. 100A off Rt. 100, this will bring you closer to Woodstock and less mileage on Rt. 4.

Thanks Alan, for a nice loop. Sure was looking forward to the Seafood place. Maybe next time (got spoiled on the chowda ride). Well, unfortunately we did not make it home dry. But it wasn't worth stopping and putting on the rain gear....we were that close to home. Art on the other hand, I'm...

Planning a Quabbin Reservoir, MA Ride

Alan, Iris and I would like to hook up with you guys for awhile. We will be coming across route 2 and it's approx. 125 miles to get to the beginning of CJ's loop. Let us know your South bound route and maybe we could catch you on the way down. I'm guessing it will take us about 2 1/2 hours...

South East New Hampshire to Vermont

Iris and I have been there several times. It's our standard breakfast stop on our way out to the coast. They have great food. By the way...they do not take credit cards. We were just up Rt. 100 last weekend. We stopped by the (ssshhh) BMW rally along the way. (It was not worth the...

    Cabot trail questions

Iris and I traveled around Nova Scotia a couple of years ago and if you have the time and want to smell the roses, stop at the Skyline trail. You park the bike and walk along a wooded trail to a boardwalk trail that brings you out to where, well...... heaven meets earth. It's just spectacular...
