Wife and I are down in California for a couple of months and are staying by the dunes in Oceano for a couple of weeks.
Yesterday I walked across the dunes to the beach for the second time. It's a workout walking in the sand trying to pick a route that doesn't dead end you.

Looking back to where I .started.

The beach looking North towards Pismo Beach, they rent ATV's and side by sides right on the beach.

Got on the Tenere and rode to the car wash as it was nasty with road grime from the trip south on I-5.
After I was done I headed north letting the Garmin take me via the Adventure mode to Morro Bay, fun little route I enjoyed.

Thought I should go to Carver country, I again let the Garmin do the Adventure routing and found some fun roads! Old Creek Rd is a real nice treat but needed to be ridden with care as recent rains had left it dirty. Old Creek dropped me on to 46 and I was told to get off at Vineyard Dr to Templeton to South El Pomar Rd to Creston Rd to;

I was ready for a Gator Aid and went next store to the Creston House and General Store and found my drink and a huge Chocolate Chip cookie! My wife has had a rough time the last few weeks with the cold from hell so headed for home to check on her. Took 229 to 58, 229 now that was a treat! I will head back that way to check out the area again.

Take care of Lynny, Pan. We were hoping you might come to PD again this Winter.

KZ1300 ride tomorrow, let's ride local!

Don't have your phone number doode!

We will be in the area starting 2/3 I think. We are leaving here 1/30 and going to Bakersfield to pick some oranges for a couple of days then to the camp compound. Lynny is getting a bit better, we will see.

Rode down Hwy 1 today to Lompoc then over to Buelton for fuel then over to Los Olivos to ride Foxen Canyon Rd.
Sure is green this time of year, January is great time of year to be here!

Foxen Canyon is a great little back road, lots of Winery's and pasture land. I followed it to Tepusquet Rd and took Tepusquet Rd to HWY 166. Tepusquet Rd turns into a nice twisty goat trail.
See the picnic table?

Folks live out here tucked away here and there.

When I got home the wife was able to get out for a walk, the sunset was nice.

Hope to catch up with Don before we head for Palm Springs on the 30th

Hi Kevin,
Good to see you and Lynny are enjoying retirement. Rode 3 wheelers at Pismo years ago, nice country down that way. Take care and stay South until mid June….
