Harper, Harper, Harper! What to say other than glad you're ok. As I understand it, similar thing happened to Tyler, but RHS, alongside big truck, making a right hand turn. Glad all you got is bruised. Live and Learn mi amigo?

Back in ~1997 a former Area Director for NW COG died in a similar scenario near Hillsboro OR. We are glad you came through pretty much unscathed.

I just received the liability review from the insurance company. My fault: 0%. Other vehicle fault: 100%. I was pleased but somewhat surprised by this.

I did test ride a 2006 with 25k miles on it today. It also had a Power Commander which seemed to reduce the early Gen2 low throttle jerkiness even better that Ivan's ECU reflash did. I've read that the Power Commander is a fuel consumer though.

Depends on how it is configured. My 2007 was purchased used with 12,000 miles and was equipped with a PC III. While it seemed to give decent throttle performance at low openings, it had a significant impact on fuel economy. I decided to try without it and I didn't hate it. Got used to it quite quickly. With the Dyno map the original owner did, fuel consumption was 15-20% higher than with the PC removed but I think partially because he was trying to squeeze out a couple more horsepower. Others have claimed less impact on fuel use.

Personally, I would either look for an ECU from a 2009-2012 or do an Ivan flash before I would use the PC. (I did neither and put an additional 170,000+ miles on the 2007 bike before I sold it.) My 2011 is smoother...
