Good afternoon.

I have been riding for a very long time and am the proud owner of a 2005 FJR! Only 28K on the clock and the previous owner had replaced steering head bearings, fluids and tires. Look forward to many years on this FJR.

Currently have a 2005 Road Glide with 108K on it and a 2014 R1200 RT with 52K on it and enjoy those bikes very much. This FJR will be taken to Minnesota and garaged there so that I can ride with my son-in-laws when I go there in the Spring and Fall.

Always wanted the FJR and this will be replacing my old Honda ST1100 that was retired with 120K on it. This Yamaha is much more of a rip to ride than the ST was and, as you all know, leans more toward the sport side of sport touring.

Look forward to being on the forum.

Welcome to the forum. Can you share some pics?

Glad you could run from this place. Maybe getting the FJR to Minnesota is the first step in a relocation process.
My bike was my last thing I brought out. Took a load from Escondido to Deming then a couple of weeks later, used my Delta Skymiles and flew back to pick up the bike. Had a fun ride through AZ mountain country. I was going to do a longer ride to the East Coast but the heat was already high in April. That trip will happen in September.

Really am looking forward to riding again in Wisconsin, MIchigan and Minnesota. I grew up there and loved riding in the Fall.

This FJR will be very nice to use on the Great River Road along the Mississippi River this year.

Ventura County - Camarillo

I am really enjoying this Yamaha. Took it down PCH yesterday and came back through on Deer Creek Road. What a gas and I’ve got to admit….this bike has such beautiful mid-range roll on power. I think I’m an addict now.

Deer Creek Road is one of my favorites. I think that it is much nicer going towards HWY1 though, especially on clear days. Spectacular views of the ocean and the islands - but keep your eyes on the road too! I am only a few miles away from you in Moorpark. Welcome to the forum!

You are correct when saying that Deer Creek is much nicer when heading to PCH. I always come at it from Yerba Buena road near Neptunes Net. It really is nice in the Spring when the hills have greened up.

Thanks for the welcome from Moorpark.
