Fobo Question?

Love my Fobo. It makes it so easy to keep on top of the tire pressures but I'm wondering has anyone checked them against a known source for accuracy? I noticed now how much the pressure can fluctuate due to temperature like 2 or so pounds different from the cool morning as opposed to the warmer afternoon temperatures. Something to take into consideration when trying to maintain a specific target temperature.

Don't overthink it! Check and adjust your tire pressures when cold then ignore the FOBO unless there's an alarm. To me, watching FOBO is akin to watching the coolant temperature fluctuations on a Gen3- it'll make you think something's wrong when what you're seeing is perfectly normal.

Not so much watching Fobo, just a discrepancy between the inflator gauge and what Fobo shows. Just feeding my OCD.

If you want to go all OCD try making a pressure gauge match 10 different sensors on an RV and towed vehicle.

I don't have TPMS on my bikes, but on the RV I found a digital gauge that matched the RV tires within 0.5 psi at 84psi per tire and called it good. The next morning I checked again with the TPMS, and the pressures had fluctuated as much as 3 psi per tire. You can drive yourself nuts trying to figure it out.

38 psi +/- 2 psi? As long as its in the area of being good.....It's good.

If you watch the tire pressures you will notice that when you find the sweet spot they will fluctuate less. Meaning that when I run what Yamaha tells me my temps run higher temp fluctuations than what a fat man requires like 42 - 44 rear for me and 41 - 43 front. Racer's watch the temp as much as they watch the pressure. It will even matter to tire life a bit.

Hey been using Fobo for awhile now with no problem (love it) but all of a sudden not working. Tried changing the battery but still not working. Anyone have any experience with this??

I noticed yesterday that there was an update on the Apple App Stote for FOBO. I pulled the trigger like any other time, but this update broke the connection with the sensors. I must have spent about half an hour getting them re-associated with the app. I ended up touch and holding on the individual readout field to bring up the dialog box to release the sensor, and then it allowed me to choose it again. I did it for both wheels, and now it works as advertised.

Ok. Gave it a try. Didn't work. Would not reinstall the sensor after it was released. I uninstalled then reinstalled the app and it finally reconnected. I was able to reinstall the released sensor and now everything seems to be okay I left the new batteries in just in case, they had a slightly higher reading 3.0 as opposed to 2.8. I'll just pick up some spares. Estimated life is only about a year anyway so rather than going through the trouble of r&r again.
