After 2 decades and 4 generations of FJRs, my Spousal Unit and I transitioned to the Tracer 900 GT in 2021, it works well for us 2-up on multi-state tours. This model year can fit FJR1300 hard bags, so that and a 40L SHAD topcase, we don't struggle to carry stuff.

I thought the bike would struggle with both of us on it and all our gear, but it more than handles by stepping down a gear. We can stay at 85mph all day long; in 6th gear, the motor is hardly working at those speeds. I did have to upgrade the suspension with some Ohlins man-candy, but the rest of the bike is pretty much stock. It is perfect after many years of handling a hefty FJR...

While some similarities exist, It is obviously different from the big FJR in handling and weight. That was the whole point in going this way.

I do not think or feel that my fjr is heavy anymore after getting my 2013 triumph rocket 3 touring. Maybe I need a 600cc sportbike for more perspective.
