Up for sale is my 2008 FJR with 31,500 miles on the clock. It has throttlemeisters the black with red trim and cut diamonds on them. Also corbin leather seats front and rear. The throttle spring unwind mod has been done one turn. I just this past summer had GTL Advantage in California do a complete seal of my gas tank it was near 1000$ worth of work and shipping but that tank is good for a lifetime of whatever garbage ethanol gas we get to use. Way better than a brand new tank. If you've not heard of them, look them up and see the way that job should be done. It has a brand new fuel pump and professionally cleaned and balanced fuel injectors and runs like a rocket. Better than ever and I was first owner.
The windshield is a C Bailey + 2+2 with flip. It has a scratch in upper right corner.
It has the side pointing tire air valves made by Bike Effects 88degree the good ones, installed.
Rear tire is a brand new Road 5 Michelin, front is half used pilot road 2 best front I ever used on this bike and still has many miles left.
Recent valve check showed no change needed, one was close but check again in 10,000 miles
All fluids recently changed including rear dif oil. This bike has always had Amzoil in it other than break-in and its the best FJR Tranny I've ever felt.
Brand new fork seals this past summer and front head bearing retorqued.
Got brand new Iridium plugs while I was in there this summer too.
This bike is in excellent condition mechanicaly and visuals.
I'm asking $6200 but negotiable. Got too many bikes in my garage using both of my sons to store one each, LOL.
Out for a longer ride today and shot new pictures for the add. Only problem I've noted is the bugs and dirt I picked up up along the way.

Sorry guys after spending the last three days and 300 miles on this bike I have decided not to sell this amazing bike. Beautiful clear mirrors at 90MPH Cruising at 80 43MPG comfort beyond compare other than maybe a new goldwing. But then the handling can't come close to this and I don't like cruise control anyway. Just went home and gave her a good bath, wax job and patted her hiney and said to myself it's ok baby your not going anywhere!

Yes, what @mophead said. I sold my 2003 FJR last year with close to 80K miles on her, and even though an immaculate 2006 was already sitting in my garage it was hard to let her go. And, I don't think I would have sold her if I didn't find the 2006 down the street from me with 1/10th of the miles for only $2K more than what I sold my '03 for. Ride your FJR for many more years to come! You will not regret keeping her.

I agree! There were many times where I considered getting rid of my 08, I am so glad I never gave into the urge to sell her. It is still the perfect FJR for me, even though I own a newer one too.

Curious as to why the FJR and not a Concours with all your other Kawasaki's. You say you don't like cruise control but I would highly recommend the McCruise for your 08. It would make it the perfect bike. The Cee Bailey 2+2 is the perfect windshield for that bike. Had one on my 08 and it was much better than the 2+2 on my 2014. Not enough flip on this one versus the 08.

Why is the 2008 better than your "newer" FJR?
I don’t consider it better than my gen3 but the fairing is less bulky and it just feels a little more sporty to me. It’s set up a little different than my stock gen3 too. It has an Ivan tune and Delkevic pipes. I also have a small windscreen on it, mostly because I like the airflow in the hot California summers. I’m pretty sure there’s some sentimental value to my 08 because I bought it new and my son has been on the back since he was little and now rides it himself sometimes.

That windshield is perfect raised about an inch to 1.5" for someone 5'10" you are correct.

Nice. I traded my 1600 Nomad for a used '08FJR. Loved that bike for 2 years but traded for a used '10 Goldwing for better 2 up. Wing went away and ended up with an '03 FJR. A year later came across a '15 FJR and bought it because of cruise and heated grips. Ivan tune and small NC screen. '08 was sportier, always had to pay attention to keep the front wheel on the ground coming out of turns .

Well I'm relisting this bike as available for sale, I still love it but i'm knocking on 70 years old door and just don't do long travel cross country rides any more. Have a lighter bike that I put in my truck and take it to areas I want to ride. May be sorry if its gone but too many bikes in my garage and my families garages. See the original post for particulars on sale.

Love those ZRXs! My son wants the 1200 so there goes half of my funds for a new bike. I'm really enjoying the light quick responding bikes. If your referring to the Z900RS cafe its my favorite one of the lot and will be staying with me for a long time. I've had the FJR since new, its been a great bike for sure, never really had any problems with it at all
