FJR newbie here, from GA. I've been off the street for about 12 years. Last street bike was an FZ1, comfortable and fast. Right before Christmas I got my hands on an '05 FJR with less than 30,000 miles on it. I look forward to the give and take here and sharing of all things FJR-ish. I'm located south of ATL in Peachtree City. Pine Mtn will always be home, though!

Welcome. Live in Johns Creek Ga. and ride the Ga. NC.,SC.,and Tenn. mountain roads almost every week. Perhaps will see you up that way. FJR a great bike . Have had three of them over the past 10 years. Many trouble free miles although they really eat the tires up.

I’m planning on altering my riding style with the FJR in order to get the tires to last longer than usual. I used to ride an FZ1 pretty hard and the rears were usually gone at 4000-4200 miles, edge to edge.

The FJR is a bit of a tire eater. Pretty good torque and responsive in the twisties. Even if you ease off on the right wrist, it is still a porker and can make a tire go away quite quickly.
