Not a "Reuben Run" but "The Last Hurrah" - Labor Day Weekend 1-5 September 2022

I have to bow out of this. A family event popped up. I'll call the hotel to release the booked room on Monday.

Not a "Reuben Run" but "The Last Hurrah" - Labor Day Weekend 1-5 September 2022

They answer the phone "Newberry Best Western" so it threw me off. Booked a single room.

Ray Slocomb, FjRay - Now on second honeymoon with Patti

I don't think I actually met Ray at any FO, but I saw him because that face is hard to miss. Great smile, always had a crowd of happy conversation near him. Lots of comments and wisdom (helpful or otherwise) was shared by that dude. RIP Ray I've never been to a RR, sadly. Haven't ridden much...

FOUND - WTB: Zumo 550/450 Motorcycle cradle

my zumo 550 gave up. I haven't removed the motorcycle cradle or power cable yet. (for future reference) I'll be removing it over the off-season. Knowing me, I'll keep it in a box for 5 years...

Shorai Li battery - does it change charging rates?

I've had the same Shorai since an episode of overheating in Sacramento maybe in 2018? Brodie was weary of them back then...Had Shorai not sent me a free exchange, I would have probably changed it out. I haven't ridden many times below 60 degrees but it doesn't seem to take any longer to fire up...

Interstate End To End Rides Part 2

On something he rides across the country, averaging 1,000 miles/day, that's not too bad

you commented somewhere that i-5 would be a struggle.  construction and traffic and bears (probably). Spend some time on some curvy Oregon roads.

    Interstate End To End Rides

I'm not great with the maths, but that's a lot of per day miles!  Helluva ride! I wonder if traffic was worse because most of the country was cooped up last year and now all making up for that?

    Interstate End To End Rides

i-40 from eastern NM to about AR is not the best scenery. But I also wondered how that detour would impact your plan. Hope the injuries are minor! Ride safe

    Declining interest in the IBR?

This is likely the bigger culprit I think, but that IBA group is private. While I was gung-ho about eating miles between 2007 and 2012, since then I've been lucky to have time to just get out to a FJR rally/regional event.  However, the last one was NAFO, in Montrose, CO. :(   So it might...
