    Best slip-on exhaust to buy?

The's actually something worth mentioning. Some after market mufflers use fiberglass (or other similar materials) to muffle the sound. It degrades over time and gets louder, then needs to be "re-packed" occasionally with new material. The Remus exhaust uses steel baffles and never needs any...

    Euro Handlebar Switch Source

...and when looking for a good deal on the handlebar controls from the Kawasaki, all you really care about is the condition of the flash-to-pass button. The button transfers over to the FJR control housing perfectly. But you're on your own for wiring it up to function as flash-to-pass I didn't...

    Euro Handlebar Switch Source

If the 2012 FJR uses the same handlebar controls as the 2008 FJR, then look for the handlebar controls for a Kawasaki Concours 1400. Same exact handlebar controls, except that the Kawasaki has the flash-to-pass button (yes, the USA/NA version!). I got one from a wrecked bike off e-bay for a good...

    Best slip-on exhaust to buy?

Another vote for the Remus Hexacone. Expensive, but very nice. I got the titanium version (outer shell is brushed titanium). I also like the minimal logo and a real mounting bracket instead of a strap wrapping around the whole can.

    Holeshot 4-1 Header

You can get an O2 sensor bung welded onto the holeshot header. You can find them on ebay for pretty cheap, then find a shop that will put it on for you. I had mine installed by the same company that powder coated the exhaust for me. I think they charged $25 to add the O2 sensor bung.

    Flushmount Weatherproof on/off switch

Don't forget a resister for the LED. You'll blow it up if you wire it directly to 12v (see my thread that I linked in my first post here for some resistor values to consider). Just pick some up at your local Radio Shack.

    Flushmount Weatherproof on/off switch

The one I bought claimed to be waterproof, and I haven't had any problems with the button riding in the rain or parked out in the rain. Yes, each press changes the state of the button (that's the "latching" part of the description), so you can use it as a power switch. It's up to you to wire up...

    Flushmount Weatherproof on/off switch

I like this button: Google "latching vandal switch". Lots of options for the color of the LED. Some details on my installation here (although, I didn't use it as a power switch for something): https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?showtopic=123878&view=findpost&p=670917

    Power Commander III

With the O2 sensor connected, the bike will adjust injector signals to obtain a 14.7:1 air:fuel ratio during certain conditions, such as steady cruising, idling, etc. The fact that the PCIII is also adjusting those signals doesn't matter, because the PCIII adjusts them by a fixed amount no...

    IJet for IPod - Bluetooth?

The Scosche linked above does have a power pass-through connection. Click the link and you'll see in the description:

    Exhaust,Fuel Management, & Intake

For some perspective on this, let's say you weight 200lbs. You would need to lose 46lbs to get the feeling of a 5% increase in torque on an FJR (at lower-than-freeway speeds where drag is not so significant; the effect of weight loss on acceleration diminishes rapidly with higher speeds). It's...

    Exhaust,Fuel Management, & Intake

Looks like about a 5-6% increase in torque across most of the RPM range. While that is a good change in performance, it's not something you'll actually notice while riding the bike (unless you race against another closely-matched bike for reference before and after, or use 1/4 mile time slips)...

    Supertech filters no mo

I'm giving the top-of-the-line FRAM a try: https://www.walmart.com/ip/FRAM-Tough-Guard-Oil-Filter/16878902 FRAM Tough Guard TG7317 - $5.44 It's one of the "long" filters (3.5 inches?), it fit and sealed without any issues, and it looks good. The grey color almost matches the engine:

    Exhaust,Fuel Management, & Intake

Just waiting for a time when I don't need $50 (price for a set of 3 dyno pulls) for something else. If the owner of the shop remembers me, I might be able to talk him down on the price a bit.

    Exhaust,Fuel Management, & Intake

I'll save you some time and money... 1) If there's exhaust that looks and sounds good to you, and it's worth the money to you for the looks and sound, then get it. 2) If you want smoother throttle control at partial throttle (e.g., initiating acceleration into a turn) and its worth about $300...

    Please convice me.

The end of the connector pipe for the Hexacones need to be expanded to fit over the Holeshot header. Any muffler shop should be able to do it for about $25 or less. Just bring the connector pipes and the header to them. Also bring the clamps for the connector pipes. You want the clamp on the...

    Power Commander

The PCIII was replaced by the PCV in 2009. That's why you don't see anything for the PCIII past 2008. AFAIK, the wiring connections on the bike are the same for all 2006+, so the PCII will work fine with 2009+. DynoJet just wanted to simplify their support obligations by limiting the PCIII to...

    Oil Temp Gauge

Should I care what temperature my oil is? I'd imagine that if you are doing anything with an FJR where you need to keep an eye on oil temps, you're probably doing something wrong, or using the wrong kind of bike. I predict that no one is using one of these.

    Power Commander III

This can't be fixed. The ECU determines MPG info based on how much fuel it has attempted to inject. The PCIII intercepts and adjusts the fuel injector signals, so there's no way for the ECU to know how much fuel was actually used. I just leave my display on the air temperature setting all the...
