July 1, 2007 - See some of the beautiful roads of Pennsylvania

Randy, Thanks for the heads up. Sounds like a good ride. I am very interested. We had a great time earlier this year in West Virginia. I went back down to Snowshoe this fall with a group from Reading. A mix of dual-sports and sport tourers. Mitch

    Old Dominion FJR Group

Well, it was great meeting everyone. FJR riders are the best! Made it home by 10:15. Check the GPS MAX SPEED. A trip isn't complete if you don't hit triple digits! Almost 700 miles. I felt good, should have kept going! Great warmup for an IBA ride later this year. Anyone care...

    ear phones

I went as far as getting the impressions made at my local ENT office but never went any further. Why, you ask? I read a thread about the Etymotic ER6i ear plugs and bought a pair. Cost around $100. Very good audio quality and if inserted properly, cancel almost ALL outside sound. Kinda'...

    Power Distribution Questions

Brazos, No pics from the engine compartment but I routed the wire bundle up the left side. I keep my mini compressor under the seat with a plug kit in case I ever get a flat. The Blue Seas just fits so nice under the passenger seat I couldn't think of putting it anywhere else. I plan on doing...

    Power Distribution Questions

My relay is up front, I think on the mirror mount bolt. I need to replace some plastic and the right side mirror this winter, don't ask why. :( I'll see if I can't document my installation with a few more pics.

    Power Distribution Questions

TWILKIN650, That is the stock strap! Kinda' tight but it holds very securely. Almost like Yammie intended it to go there. All you have to decide is if you want your Blue Seas in the rear or in the front dash. I chose the rear, more initial install time routing the wires to the rear, but...

    Power Distribution Questions

You do place the relay between the battery and the BlueSea. This way, the BlueSea is only HOT when the bike is running. Several different ways to trigger the relay on, I think I used the front running lights as many here have done. Also, since the relay is up front in the dash, it was...

    Power Distribution Questions

Rogue, I live near Reading, Pa. Looks like you missed the fact that I also soldered the crimp on connectors too! :D Not much else to do in Feb. in PA! Hey Randy, Some more info for your parts list. I used 10 ga. wire to feed the Blue Sea block. Inline fuse holder from Radio Shack and a...

    Power Distribution Questions

Randy, It already is tomorrow :) Here you go. I had an extensive description on the old site about how I installed this. It really is not that difficult. Send me a PM and maybe a phone call will be easier than typing the whole thing out.

    Power Distribution Questions

Randy, I'll dig out my pics of the Blue Sea I installed under the pillion seat and post tomorrow. I'm not that far away if you need some help. I wired all kinds of things on my FJR. No problems since even after a 3000 miler to Nova Scotia, many miles in the rain! MixedUpMitch

    New Yamahas On Display

Randy, Will be passing on the NYC ride this weekend. Last Sunday at a poker run I stopped to help a downed rider and my FJR decided to go on a ride without me. Not sure if passing truck scared it into motion but it went down on the right side. The MOKO's helped but it still was costly. Top...

    Nova Scotia's Own TT

Gypsy, I just spent a week in Nova Scotia/Cape Breton on my 05 FJR. Beautiful everything, except the dealer in Halifax that would not sell be a new shield after I dropped my helmet! He only had one on a new helmet but wouldn't part with it. Anyway, the north was the best. I could have...

    New Yamahas On Display

Randy, Just signed up for this board. Been kinda' busy. Took 8 days to tour New England and Nova Scotia on the FJR. What an awesome trip! Anyway, I might be interested in joining you to NYC. All I have to do is replace the rear meat before the trip, 3000 miles to Nova Scotia cooked the...
