Took me a while to get back to this, but I thought I'd put some pics here just FYI. The pics aren't great but I think you can get the idea. Here you can see 3 screws on one lined up fairly well, but center hole is way off Still holding shield in same position there is no way the 3 screws on...

None of them line up. I could get 2 screws in but that left all the others out of line. They are very close but not close enough. I also tried putting the "W" bracket on, just to see, ended up chipping a small piece off one of the tabs due to the improper fit. Bought this from a forum member...

Is anyone aware of differences in the mounting screw locations from '06 to '08? Took my stock screen off and discovered the holes on the CalSci Gen II shield do not line up with the holes on my '06....WTF

Got a new windscreen, but don't know how to remove the OEM. Does the blue plastic piece snap off or are there fasteners/screws holding it? Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Does the blue in #4 match the 2006 blue?

Thanks for the input, db. Also, just read a suggestion on wikianswers: Offer as a condition of sale the option to return the undamaged bike within an hour of purchase. Basically buy it to ride it. Sounds good to me...might turn away some buyers though.

I'm contemplating selling my '06...I've never sold a motorcycle before. So, I was looking for opinions on allowing test rides. Do you just hold their license and hope for the best or take some kind of deposit? I'm sure many of you have been through this process before. Thanks, Matt

jetflier, I feel the same. I can take uphill curves must faster comfortably than downhill. Part of it may be the difference in the camber of the road uphill vs. downhill.
