Here's my FJR13AWR I bought new from Cycle Stop in Picayune, MS. Don't think they even sell Yahahas any more. I try to keep it looking like new (had various spots repainted and touched up thru the years); but inevitably, the ol' boots scrape the bags, etc., and at some point I'll have it buffed...

U-Haul motorcycle trailers are for local use only. The only thing they sanction for 1-way MC use is the 5x9 aluminum utility trlr w/ramp (open, of course). I will wind up using one of these if I don't get any bright ideas in very near future.... Thanks again for all the input, folks.... John

Sounds as if we're getting a concensus here.... and it's not like I really didn't know it deep down. Tell me, do those front wheel chocks have to be bolted to the floor of whatever? (And I know you still have to use straps w/ the chock.) If so, I assume that means drilling, etc., which...

I'm having to move the FJR about 600 miles via trailer, and I've never had to move a stationary bike before. I'm going to rent a trailer, and it would fit inside a 5x8 u-Haul, which is easily accessible for 1-way moves. But these things don't have tie-downs. Question: Is there a way to stabilize...

I also paid $12,200 in November (dealer in Picayune, MS). However, back in the day, "OTD" meant INCLUDING all TT&L (FINAL price; hence, "out the door"). The gracious salesman told me $11,700 at first, but didn't mention the $500 dealer prep until I pressed him! Swore it was just a "pass-thru"...

Just to play devil's advocate, I can see the value of doing a search for the info before posting a new question. I can see where the good folks who answer the same questions day after day can save a few keystrokes (it get's pretty tedious after a while), and also, folks who do look up topics can...

Don't forget to get quotes on different deductibles. It makes a BIG difference on the collision & comprehensive.

Just sent Mike at U-Mo an e-mail after getting a quote from the local dealer for about $300. I guess that's not as bad as it could be. I've decided to just replace the parts instead of painting. I'll let you know how I make out. Thanks for all the help, guys.... If anybody needs any...

I missed the windshield, tank, and upper body; but I did get the tail, nose, and right mirror pretty good. Nothing's cracked or broken or apparently misaligned, though. Unfortunately, I have $1000 deductible insurance, and I'm hoping I can have it all fixed for much less than that. But good...

I was driving it up my new ramps to get it into the storage shed; I had to make a turn as soon as I got the front wheel onto the floor of the shed, and CRASH!
