My Avocados are missing.......and Rocky's looking good...

And I finally figured out it's frikkin' squirrels. Now I've lived in this house for 26 years, and my three avocado trees have always produced well. Having three different varieties, they fruit at different times of the year which means I usually have guacamole about 6 months out of the year...

05 Engine and parts for sale

I have a wrecked 05 that has very little left on it. It's basically a complete engine still in the frame. NO - Forks, wheels, rear suspension, final drive, windshield motor, abs motor, radiator. Let's just say there's more missing than what's here. There's some plastic - right side actually...

One of these is NOT like the other - - -

Yep. Started oil consumption during the EODZA - 1 qt - 150 mi. 124K ish on the bike. Did a compression check today - findings written on the box. #3 jug is just moving air. Also has a very pronounced rod knock. Doug's looking for a new engine, perhaps even a bike. :(

Need a rear wheel - current one CRACKED !

Hey, everyone ! Doug5551 a fellow forum member has a cracked rear wheel. The wheel was repaired last year, but the repair has now failed. Pricing out a new wheel on a component basis is very expensive - so before he goes that route, we're looking for a used wheel. Fleabay search is in...

    Kendon Stand-up Motorcycle Lift

Hi, Y'all! I'm selling my Kendon Stand-up Motorcycle Lift. Here's the factory link: Kendon USA Now this is a nice lift - but not for the FJR. I know. Contradictory to selling it, eh? Many of you have other motorcycles, and this lift may very well be the bee's knees to use with those...

    Crank/Cam Timing -

OK - did a massive amount of work on this 05, put it all back together, and ran like crap. Went back into it this morning, checked everything out, and then noticed this: Cams are exactly lined up, it would appear I've jumped a crank gear tooth. Agree? Now - what's the safest way to fix...

    Valve Adjust -

Ok - 2005 abs with 73K on it - I did the valve check - here's the results - Now - I've done others - both higher and lower miles. And I have not encountered anything near this set of measurements. Most tend to be mid-range with the minimal number close or out of spec. When I finished...

One of these things........is not like the other.

I'm doing a major lube service (among a lot of other things) on an 05 ABS with 73k. This is what the center relay arm "collar" (as Mamayama calls it, I call it a bushing) looks like when it's installed dry from the factory. The bearings still turned - they squeeked, but amazingly, still...

    WFO10

All - it really sucks to have to post this, but due to many factors I have to cancel WFO for this year. Rather than provide a "less than optimal" experience, or as Fairlaner so eloquently states, "crap!" the WFO staff is in agreement to pull the plug. The low numbers of registrants will...

    WFO10

Well, Hey, ya'all !! If you're on the fence, get off of it and sign up - numbers are really low, and I've noticed that some folks are waiting until the last minute to sign up. There's lot's of changes in the Rally world this summer - certainly not least of which is the move of the IBR to...

I just had the pleasure ...

to multiple felony counts. 8 to be exact. Involving the use of a semi-automatic weapon. One more POS off the street. Felt good. The best part of the experience? One of my fellow jurors was a Korea war veteran Marine. With shrapnel in his back. And he appeared quite capable of beating...

    Lost my Mother

Mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in March of 2010, and it's been a very difficult, yet interesting year since. On Friday the 8th, she suffered a massive stroke while at breakfast at the facility, and chose to leave us yesterday morning.   I, my brother and sister are very relieved...
