I have had that problem all my life. Last year I finally got tired enough of the wing and got a FJR. This year it has not hit me yet.

Just Roy, you did a great job on that install. Now can you tell us the correct dip settings for the 08?

I love my heli risers but the bolt head removal caused me some aggravation as I did not have a good center punch. You don't need to remove the bolt, just the cone washer-head and the ignition will slip out of the old triple clamp leaving the old bolts in the old triple clamp.

I would buy the 48 month yes if I were you, after all I did. I'm not much on extended warranties but how can you go wrong for only $400.00. Enjoy the new ride !!!

My goldwing did that same thing and it was the vent tube, it had been kinked, when the kink was corrected the strong order went away.

I too was amazed at a little tuning of the suspension.

I have a 30 inch inseam as well and have a gold wing and a vtx 1300R and now FJR, trust me, do what ever is needed to ride the FJR and then you do what is needed to keep it.

The ipod shuffle is also great on the bike, just clip it on your jacket and insert the ear phones and you have tunes on your ride and it's really easy to control.

Another thought for future reference. Just because Progressive or whoever has a preferred shop, you don't have to use that shop, you still have the right to choose where you want your ride repaired and if the shop of your choice want's your business, they will work with your insurance company...

my local dealer had a new 07 and a 08, I bought the 08 because of the fixes and the price difference was only 900.00

I just checked my 08 yesterday, GPS 60 bike 65, GPS 65 bike 70, GPS 70 bike 75, GPS 75 bike 80.

I won't own another bike without FI.

Make sure the front axle bolt and the pinch bolts are torqued correctly. The bike is delivered with the front wheel off so the dealer has to install it.
