I like to ride the dusty dirty roads and I'm at a simplify point in my life with multiple bikes. Not that chains are the worst thing but 4oz of shaft oil every 16k plus miles beats the hell out of chain cleaning, lube, adjust and replacement along with sprockets. Shaft means more riding, less...

Hopefully I'll never buy a chain drive bike again. However there is that never say never thing that may come back to bite me.

Thanks for the video. I'm a huge fan of the Mission on my Super Tenere for street and gravel roads, put them to a good test in eastern Oregon both on the pavement and gravel roads a week ago. Wear is exceptional as in over 10k a set on the S-10, quite impressive with my heavy right wrist...

I had a 04 early ticker at 12k. Yamaha sent a factory tech to replace the head at a local Yamaha shop so they could send the head back to Japan for analysis. The replacement head made it to 90k before bambi destroyed the bike near Mt. Saint Helens in 2012. It was a good bike.
