New to Vegas, looking to ride

Blew in about a month, been jonesin to get out. Doesn't appear to be too many places locally to let the feej loose. Would appreciate any and all recommendations on roads, routes etc. Right now all I really know is the 156/7 and honestly, not enough to work the feej. Wouldn't mind a meet up...

CEL & ABS light with code 47, 2008 FJR

Yes it does that. Tech states they found the problem. Problem was located on the rear brake ABS sensor. Tech stated that the screw had backed out due to being stripped. They re-tapped the bolt, inserted the new bolt, system checks out now. Had them bleed the brake system while it was there...

CEL & ABS light with code 47, 2008 FJR

Thanks, that does remind its been awhile since PM's have been done on the bike. One would guess that becuase the rear brake pedal could be hanging up, causing the ABS light to come on, then the CEL would come on and the engine go into limp mode.

CEL & ABS light with code 47, 2008 FJR

Not an AE. Rear brake appeared to be working but, that doesn't mean the plunger wasn't sticking. Since you brought it up, ever since owning the bike I have had to press the pedal several times to get it to engage? Anyone else have this issue with the rear brake pedal? My code also didn't...

CEL & ABS light with code 47, 2008 FJR

After the last ride the ABS light came (solid) on but the vehicle acted normally for the rest of the ride. Shut the bike off, turned it on, no ABS light. Yesterday, started the bike, ABS light is off, no CEL, no Code. Get down the road 3 or so miles, ABS light came on, CEL lit up, engine went...

    HID Lighting

I am not so much for adding lighting to the bike as I would be interested in just swapping out the stock jaundice bulbs. I don't enjoy the night riding and am not concerned with dodging wildlife as much as just seeing the road in brighter/whiter light. Also think the brighter/whiter light would...

    CHP Cracking down on Mullholland

Just there last weekend in the early PM, not a CHP'er in sight. I had no fear as we were being escorted by two Ducati's. Wait, scratch that there was one on Kannan. He was headed toward the Rock Store from the 101 area, probably returning from a lunch break. We were in that big dual lane...

How to disable auto windsreen return

Thought about doing this when I first bought the bike. Four years later, it is just something you do before heading down the road. Not so much an annoyance anymore. And you are right, bike looks odd with it extended while parked.

    Toe dragging

Might have been discussed already, other than as stated this places the weight of your body more on the footpegs so that while you are in the twisties it easier to manuever the bike from side to side. When going into the turns, both of my feet are back on a the ball. All your braking and...

    Another take on hydration...

Discovery Pass two vehicle law signed

We have cards down here that can be transferred between vehicles. Sometimes the rangers will do an ID check to compare the card with the driver or passenger depending on who owns the card. Doesn't make sense that this would be tied to one vehicle. If ya have an RV and tow another vehicle...

    Solo So. Cal 180 Miles

Cool ride.... Don't expect any Poppies this yr. We have had next to zero rain. We saw some along the road but that is it. Nice ride report.

    tire wear?

I average about 6k miles out here on PR2's. But that is involving full edge to edge wear.
