On the east end of the ferry from Balfour (Kootenay Bay) to Crawford Bay is a great golf course. Kokanee Springs. Take the time to check it out one day.

I used it as my NE corner on my 4 corner ride on a Thursday in mid Sept. Spent a couple of hours wandering and eating and saw no more than 30 - 40 people. Probably many more spectacular sights but this is still a good one.

Jasper will not be as crazy busy as Banff. Expensive but not as busy.
