    SOLD: 2015 FJR1300 ES, only 3907 miles

This bike is sold pending funds.  Thanks to everyone who looked.  Please ride safe and have fun on your FJR.  I've had two of them.  I think they are the best sport touring bike ever designed if you still want to have fun in the twisties on a bike.  All the best to everyone on the forum!

    F*** Garmin

It's hard to pick a good motorcycle gps unit these days. I've had a few and they all have their issues. The TomTom was the most aggravating unit of the bunch. After the warranty expired, it wouldn't turn on. Called TomTom and they offered no available repair service since the unit was out...

    Is it Dead?

I've pulled that dumb ass stunt a couple of times myself (left key on, ran battery down). Keep the tender on it all the time. Why would you ever take it off? Regardless, ride the damn bike and stop worrying. Nobody has xray vision to see if any of the internal cells are screwed-up in the...

    VStream Touring Windscreen in summer

I just leave my Vstream on and crank it down a little. I don't like wind buffeting at all and if it gets to hot to ride, I don't ride. Life's too short to force myself to ride when I don't like the temperature.

    How wide is Gen 3

I feel your pain on garage space. I have crap stacked everywhere to make room for 2 motorcycles.

FJR ES on Gravel Roads, Suspension Setting?

I think just about any suspension setting will work. The key is controlling your speed, acell and decell, and braking. But I am sure you know that. Gravel roads always offer their special set of challenges.

3rd Gen ES Suspension Problems Poll

Fred...instead of a problem poll, maybe it would have been better to call it a satisfaction poll. Other than the very rare and almost non-existent problem of a leaking shock, it's been pretty bullet-proof.

Gen III: Rear brake pedal went low

Fred, You have been given some good advice on what to check/do. I am sure those brakes will be fine afterwards. Be careful of that DOT4 brake fluid, its tuff on paint. BTW, I like to use external search engines to search for topics on this and other forums. Seems I get better and more...

Have you ever gone without a windscreen?

Agree it's nice to ride without a shield for a lot of reasons. However for me that "nice" is overcome by the downsides of wind noise and the constant pressure the air places on your upper torso and head, pressure that leads to the early onset of fatigue on a long trip. I suppose youngsters can...

    Well, it finally happened....

Tuff way to learn about edge traps. Glad you are back in commission. Oh yea, stop cleaning the parking lot and concentrate on the ride. Let someone else pick up the rocks.

    Yamaha's Biggest Sale/Rebates?

I don't think you will like the gear ratios on the 6-speed compared to your 5-speed. I don't think many folks give a rip about a slipper clutch either. Then there is that color. Go with the '15 and don't look back.

    Heavy ...

Just another reason why I NEVER push any of my bikes around like they are bicycles or something. Get on the damn thing and use your legs.

2008 model - What's it worth & should I be worried about it's limited use?

I had an 08, loved the black metallic paint. Regardless of the price you pay, you should: -Change all fluids, including final drive lube and coolant. -Don't ride on those tires. The older the rubber, the harder it gets. Old tires can have mirco cracks plus they do not have the sticky...

Pulled the Trigger on a 2016 ES

Buy a service manual for it while you are there if the dealer has one.
