    Land Surveying Software/formula Suggestions

Thanks Capt. Bob, I basically knew the trig I just wasn't sure how the coordinates got to distance units such as feet. Looks as though the coordinate system had some forethought in the planning. Thanks again. Ron

    Land Surveying Software/formula Suggestions

Thanks Card. I had not thought of Google Earth. After I checked it out I found that it might work better than the GPS Data I had. I turned on the "Grid" under tools tab & also found the "Rule" function that was helpful. Thanks Ron

    Land Surveying Software/formula Suggestions

Thanks Iggy. No I was just looking for rough distances not building corners. For what it's worth I plugged in a couple of points I had measured the distance between at 29 feet with a tape measure. The web site yielded 54 feet. The coordinates I had came from a Garmin Aviation GPS (Model...

    Newest Aft defense system installed

I added a pump & nozzle very similar to this several years ago when I had a Concours. I had a lot of fun with it. Usually folks will back off as they don't know what the liquid is (I used water). Of course there are always those oblivious types that don't even notice. A few years ago when...

    Land Surveying Software/formula Suggestions

So I am toying with laying out some small sheds & misc. items on some agricultural property. I don't need surveyor precision as I won't be near any property boundaries. I was thinking perhaps some Coordinates from the GPS (Lat. & Long) of two points would give me a distance between the two...

    Rev Limiter on the FJR

I think it was 10,300 on the 05. Not really sure, as someone said things are happening fast in the lower gears. I haven't hit it yet on the 07.

    Under seat stowage

Tools, tire kit, Registration. It should be noted that there is significantly less room under the seat of Gen I's when compared to Gen II's. Not trying to start a debate, just owned both & noticed the difference.

Is this bike hard to ride?

If you liked the Connie (like I did), I think you'll love the FJR. Better handling, brakes, & more power. Less affected by cross winds, & perhaps a bit less weather protection.

    wacked another deer

I think I would say to be extremely careful. It sounds like the times you ride are prime deer times and obviously you have to ride in an area with a high density (LOTS) of deer. I'd think you're more likely than most to hit one again. Wishing you the very best. Ride safe.
