Issues with Bluetooth comm systems and older Garmin GPS.....

Is there a way to turn off the long range intercom on the G9? BT and GPS frequencies are not that close but may be getting some spurious interference? -BD

    CCS-100 Quit working

My problem was the stuck solenoid valve. Cycling 12VDC on it broke it free. Then I lubricated it and it worked well again. -BD

    Audiovox CCS-100

+1 on sticking vacuum solenoid. I searched for this thread after troubleshooting my own... as usual on this forum, I am not alone. I have been a bad boy and basically let my bike sit idle for a long time. I took it out the other day and had a great ride, but found out that the cruise was not...

    Pathfinder's 48plus/10-10s

What are you talking about? I have seen that bike - it only has 20,000 miles on it. Wait... oh, right! He only has a handful of miles left! That 6 hours must have done him right, he hammed on until 12:45, took a roadside nap, and was back on the throttle at 4 am. -BD

    Pathfinder's 48plus/10-10s

I am getting exhausted just watching from behind the LCD screen... And realizing he is out at crazy hours in the western mountains at night with only stock lights. Good luck, Tony! Only a couple more days so keep pluggin'! -BD

    Pathfinder's 48plus/10-10s

I've got no shame because he's putting on more miles in ten days than I have in 1825, so I'll ask: what exactly is the Iron Butt Hotel? Bus stop benches? Rest area picnic tables? Construction site port-a-potties? Centerstand up, feet on the handlebars, head on your seat bag? -BD

    Pathfinder's 48plus/10-10s

Tony is not carrying extra fuel - no cell. He is carrying his own food to keep things moving. Not sure coffee is enough by the looks of the pace - he may need something with more *oomph*, like a crack pipe... And, if I may - he took off without ear plugs and without music (that I saw, maybe he...

    Pathfinder's 48plus/10-10s

I witnessed his start in WPB, FL. After, he went for a 22 hour ride and I went to sleep. Been watching it live a couple of times a day. Go Tony, go!! It looks like he is a little off his planned pace right now. As long as he rides safe, I am sure he'll make it up. -BD

    Yet another HID experiment

One of my slim ballasts crapped out about 6 months ago, and I ordered 2 replacements, one to replace and one as a backup replacement. These cheapo Chinese lights are questionable for durability, but like above, I would not give up HID lighting, if for no other reason other than daylight...

    Parasitic current draw

Might not be parasitic draw, may just be the battery characteristics. The only way to know would be to hook up an ammeter in series with the battery terminal an measure the quiescent current. -BD
