How to disconnect wire so it can be re-wrapped

I could use some advice. If the photos don't upload then I'll say I learned something and try again. I need to re-wrap wires going from the connection to the cruise control, but I can't figure out how to disconnect the wires so I can do a clean and tight job. Is there a way to disconnect the...

    Should I replace the thermostat?

I've got an '04. I gave the bike a complete blow job late summer and replace with the yellow stuff, that meets the standard. Before I changed the coolant it almost never went to 4 bars. Now it happens on a consistent basis. I just can't understand what changed. I'm concerned that it is...

    badly worn key

My key is on it's last leg. It's badly worn to the point ignition is getting very dicey and I really have to get it just right before it starts. Is this going to be a problem or do I simply go to a locksmith for a new key?

    FogCity Speed Tint

I added the Fog City Speed Tint to my visor. It took some patience to ensure it was lined up straight and centered. I'm not much for the full tinted visor. The late afternoon is seriously impeding my vision going west. It's too late now, but I'll ask anyway. Anyone else had experience with the...

    What goes here?

I've got a hole where it looks like a screw or plastice pop fastener should go to join the two sides together in the center just below the dash. I took it to the dealer, he looked in his reference stuff and said nope, it's just a hole. Can this be right?

Changing tire brand on rear only

I've got a rear tire that'll need replacing in the near future. I've got Diablos on now and the front is good for more miles. Any drawback to putting the Avon "Storm" AV56 on the back and then changing out the front at a later date? Can I expect more miles out of the Avon?
