    Fork Seals Didn't

Just curious, what brand of fork seals did you install? Yamaha, or something else? I used some store brand fork seals on two of my kids dirt bikes a couple years ago and they both leaked like a sieve. Replacing them with factory seals fixed it.

    Purolator L14610 - dont buy

public service announcement... I bought a handful of Purolator L14610 filters a while back. I read a cross reference sheet that said these will fit. There was no leak after the oil change but a week later I took a 500 mile ride and returned to find a puddle of oil under my bike in the garage...

    Bike keyed at work!

So did the video show anything? That does not look like a key mark to me. It looks like the bag made contact with something, very likely by accident. (either your accident or someone else's).

    2008 AE Shift Light Issues

Well done. The AE sure is a pleasure to ride!

    2008 AE Shift Light Issues

Also, check your brake pedal (right foot). Lube it. These tend to get sticky over time and cause the brake pedal to stick, so the brake light stays on. This confuses the YCCS and will cause an error because the computer thinks, why does this guy want to accelerate when the brake is on?

    YCC-S issue?

For real? That's a shame. Plenty of folks on here would happily help him troubleshoot it.

    YCC-S issue?

The bike won't shift out of neutral if your RPMs are too high. Make sure your idle RPM is set properly. The sidestand must be up. The brake must be applied. Makes sure your brake light is lighting up when you squeeze the brake handle.

Used 2015 Forest River RV Work and Play 30WRS Toy Hauler Travel Trailer

Looks nice! I already have an older toy hauler but I like the separate cargo/living arrangement on this one. Good luck!

AE shifting and 1st gear engagement problem solved - incorrect engine oil viscosity

Well said. I agree with this. In short, any bubbles in the clutch fluid will cause the computer to become confused. It's extremely important to make sure the system is bled well.

love the bike, the stock seat not so much

Thanks for the correction. If I'm understanding his pricing chart correctly, here is the corrected list. I found the Sargent site and included a link for it as well. I wish these links (and more) could be in a comprehensive sticky somewhere. I've wondered about seats and options and prices...

love the bike, the stock seat not so much

I feel like I'm missing something. Is a cheaper option available for a Russell seat? I looked up web prices for seats and provided the links below. These were the most inexpensive, no-frills options I could find for each seat. Please correct these if I have misstated them. $540 Russell FJR...

Shifting AE Smoothly and Hesitation at Low RPM?

Quick tip, don't worry about damaging the clutch or transmission. The YCCS system won't let it happen. It will feather the clutch on downshifts if you're revving too high. Try it on an open road and see what I mean. Upshifts can be made more smooth with higher revs, or with practiced...

YIPPEE! Big Money Rally for 2019

Hooray! The 2018 BMR Rally was my first rally ever. It was a lot of fun. I was able to pick and choose where and when I went, on my own time, and got me out on the bike on days that I wouldn't have ridden otherwise. Living in Arizona, the new start and end dates are a bummer but I'm excited...
