Saturday November 12 Brunch Ride to Ranch House!

Thanks for the heads up Don. The wife and I will be riding to Vegas to watch the EnduroCross next weekend, so I will pay my respects, but will be unable to attend. Hopefully the weather will be good and a proper send off will be given to a fallen brother. Take care and keep me in the loop. Tom

    FJR test ride

I just finished my first substantial ride on the FJR myself. I have to agree with you that this bike does everything quite well. And I found the stock seat to work ok too. I rode around 2200 miles in four days and didn't have any comfort issues in temps that ranged from 37 to 104 degrees...

    Weekend Ride

Hey all, Just got back from my ride. Thanks to all that chimed in with suggestions! I did hit 128 out of Moab.. A beautiful stretch of road. Rode over the Flaming gorge and up 530 too. Hit some great road out of Jackson Hole over Teton pass, down through Twin falls ID over the snake...

    Weekend Ride

I'm riding to meet a friend for lunch in Moab UT tomorrow, then on up to Jackson Hole WY, and then over to Yosemite. Any must see roads up there that I should hit? Any info from someone familiar with that area would be appreciated. I don't have an agenda, just 5 days to burn. It will be my...

    Signal minder snafu

When I bought my 07' back in January the signal lights were sporadic and only flashed for 10 secs when I hit the signal switch. I bought the bike used and had no idea how the system worked so I did a little digging and found out that there is a Kissan signal minder installed. I dug up a manual...

    factory tool kit

IMHO most factory tool kiits, no matter the brand, are next to worthless, so if you have to buy some tools you may as well get good ones. I use the bag that came with the bike but the tools inside are Craftsman and asst.

    New FJR owner

You made the right choice. An FJR will tour all day long comfortably, and still run like heck in the twisties. A wing is a nice machine, but it won't touch the FJR for just plain fun. Enjoy!

Purchased 2010 FJR over KGT- Yessssss it feels good!

I'm with you. I may lack the eloquence to lay it out the way you did, but after 3 Beemers the FJR was a no brainer purchase. I did get to test ride mine however because it was pre-owned. I liked my Beemers but not enought to buy another one without trying the FJR. Now that I'm on the FJR...

    Utah/Arizona riders

The best riding Arizona has to offer is the NE corner area. Hwy 191, Coronado Trail, from Eager south to Clifton is the absolute best ride in the state, and possibly all of the southwest. (Of course I am biased). The hard part about this part of the country is that although there are some...

    death wobble

I've had bikes do that in the past, and it has always been a tire issue. I can't say that's whats going on with your bike, and especially since you just put on a new tire, but "Don't let go" is good advice, at least until you get to the bottom of this issue.

    brakeaway cruise control

I have the Brakeaway on my 07' and I really like it It came on the bike when I bought it, which was a good thing, because it is really expensive for a throttle lock at around $250. I like the fact that applying the front brake disengages the lock, a nice feature. It is a high quality device...

    My FJR Made the Paper!

That is an extremely cool article, and a positive promotion on motorcycling in general. Way to go, enjoy your ride! :yahoo:

    Fording kit for my 07'

We don't get many chances to test our skills riding in the rain here in the valley of the sun, but today I hit the jackpot. I had water up to my frame sliders a couple of times and water covered the road for most of my commute. I will say the FJR handled it all quite well, and stayed put even...

    Milestones

Love the pics of the Going to the sun road! I was up there last week at the same time you were. Awesome, but COLD. You got some great shots that I didn't take the time to shoot. Thanks!

    Thinking about heading to Colorado

Just do it! You got the bike, you got the desire, 2600 in 5 days is real respectable ride, but it ain't crazy. If you have a few good rides under your belt you should be up to it. My $02
