Once you get it all sorted, you can do a PM on all that once a year and extend their useful life nearly indefinitely. Flushing the clutch and brake system should be NO LESS than every other year.

There's a brass bushing in there. Remove it, clean and lube it before replacing. Clean and lube all the mechanical contact points in the lever's "pod". If the center of the bushing is out-of-round, replace it. They are common and not expensive. R&R annually.

I also find shifting gets notchy when it needs an oil changed (shared oil in engine/transmission).

My recommendation is also the least expensive to implement. Don't coast in N.
