My dear, fellow Iron Butt Keyboarders, just a quick word to say thank you very much to letting me in on your forum. I first got into LD riding in 2009 and quickly got hooked. 3 SS1000's a SS2000 and a finish in the Brit Butt Rally had confirmed to be that LD riding is in my blood. During 2009 I...

2011 IBR - The Inside View

"Invariably, there is at least one motorcycle in every rally that is considered to be in what is affectionately referred to as the “hopeless class.” This year, that honor goes to a 1975 Triumph Trident ridden by John Young from the United Kingdom. Members of the Tech Inspection team have been...

2011 IBR - The Inside View

I've been reading with great interest about various routing options, but the surely the winning route will be a Hyder and 4 corners ride with minimal capitals, just the low lying fruit? From what I've read there's 4800 for Hyder, plus 4800 for the 4 corners and another 4800 for the 48 states...

Hi Dale, thanks for the welcome and yes very much rooting for John and Phil as well as Gerhard who I met during the 2010 Brit Butt Rally. You're such a tease showing the Spotwalla screen shot saying he's in the middle of the pack….I dashed off to the site to see if I could see John on it, but...
