    2007 No Start Problem

No, it's a 30 minute commute. I've never had this problem before.

    2007 No Start Problem

The battery is taking a charge from my Battery Tender. Is there any chance that I could have a faulty ignition switch? Could it have drained the battery during the day while I was working? That might explain the bike going from trying to start to no lights and no gauges instantly. Also would...

    2007 No Start Problem

Ok, so I got home and checked the battery. It measured 10.4 volts across the terminals, which is way too low. But does it necessarily indicate a bad battery? Is there anything else that I should check?

    2007 No Start Problem

Damn, I thought that my new battery would end my starting problems. A couple of weeks ago, I installed a new glass mat battery from Batteries Plus and haven't had any troubles. I'll check the battery tonight. Terminals were tight.

    2007 No Start Problem

Ok, I need some help. This morning, I went to start the bike as I do every morning. Now, just for background, I have an '07 FJR ABS model, newer battery and zero problems prior to this morning. I insert the key, turn it to the "on" position, turn the kiss switch to "on", the fuel pump runs for a...

MC Enterprises tip over guards - are they any good?

I have them mounted on my 2007, primarily for my trip to Alaska and my daily commute. I wanted something just in case I dropped the bike on the haul road. I find them to be easy to install, a great place to mount a set of LED lights, and they provide protection in case of a drop. I cornered...

    Tires for unpaved roads

I just returned from a 3 week trip from Ft. Worth, TX to the Arctic Circle, AK. Having spent much of that time on both the Dalton Hwy., as well as the poor Yukon roads, I would like to offer 2 points to this discussion. First, the FJR is an exceptional choice for this type of riding. Not that...

Fix for a lost rear axle spacer?

FJRay, I wish I had one to mic so that I could give you the specs! I'm somewhat desperate, in that I head for Alaska on Saturday.

Fix for a lost rear axle spacer?

Al, that would be the one. I'm trying to find someone who actually has one in stock so that I can get it sent overnight. Of course, my dealer is useless in this matter. In terms of how did I lose it? Well, the last time I saw it... and then my son and his friends were in the garage... you get...

Fix for a lost rear axle spacer?

Ok, short of ordering another one, which I will do. Does anyone have a fix for a missing rear axle spacer on a 2007 FJR w/ ABS?

I have a set of OES Frame Sliders that I no longer need. They are 6 months old, black, and in perfect condition. I'd like $40.00 including shipping in the lower 48. Kevin

OK, now the horn is out.

Yes, the horn was completely unrelated. The fuse problem was caused by the Skene LED system having been poorly installed by the highly paid installer. When the bars are turned to the left, the Skene system was shorting out, so it has been disconnected awaiting a better install. More accurately...

    LOL!!!! Point taken! Well done!

OK, now the horn is out.

Done, that was it. Power directly to the horns and the horns sound. Started messing with the switch, without taking it apart, literally just poking at it and the horns start working. The bike hadn't been washed in a couple of months and it stays garaged. Should I replace the switch? Is it...

OK, now the horn is out.

I'll definitely try this when I get home. Thanks.
