Hey Mac, Glad you were able to sort it, we tend not to have the cold issue down here. 😁 Still need to put the old Matchless (6 volt) battery on the tender every couple of weeks though. Interested to see I have the same DVM as you do, bought on impulse on a trip to Blighty around eight years...

HI Jim, good to hear from you, I'm def interested. Currently off work recovering from a non covid related virus but confident that few more weeks will see it gone. Just to allay any fears I hope, the missus has not shown any symptoms at all so I don't believe it's particularly contagious...

Interesting. Had replaced brushes and cleaned up the internals of starter on my 07 couple of years back and paid particular attention to the orientation of the ends wrt the main body rotation wise, as advised by many good sages on this forum. All was good on reassembly. Never knew incorrect...

Good tip. Wish I knew the f brake master has the same deal when servicing mine last week. 

Good luck with getting the nut back onto the end of that bolt. Had me pulling my hair out for a while a couple weeks back.

Yeah, really enjoyed the ride and seeing familiar and new faces. Definitely a pity about the wait, though the food was good and plentiful but didn’t leave much time for some of us to meet and talk with others in our group.  Should be better for our next rte.
