I have an older GIVI on my Vee Strom and a SHAD SH-50 on my FJR. The SHAD is a much better made box. Easy open, easy off / on. I think the SHAD is a better looking trunk.

I like the leather. Nice and soft to the feel. Doesn't cook your butt after sitting in the sun. Cost a bit more but it's worth it.

I have a Russell on my VEE Strom w/ a back rest. Going to get one for my FJR. I like it just fine. Back rest slides right out for short trips. They do a great job. If you get the heated seat, you might want to think about a controller from 1st gear or one of those folks, Russell is either ON or OFF.

Have you posted it the Warrior fourm? My G/F has a '07 Warrior, W/ Barron's big air kit & 2 into 1 SS Muzzy. = great bike, lots of power. She likes it over her 2012 HD.

In Sept. '12, I found an '07 FJR A with only 435 miles on it. Kept covered, in a garage, the guy ran it every week (in the garage) and changed the fuel every 3 months, he put the old fuel in his van and put fresh in the bike...... He rode it home from the dealer in Feb '07, said to his wife...

Very intersting replies, I agree with them all. I too figured the MSF would weight in. A friend of mine is a MSF instructor, he has very strong feelings (about everything) & several reasons as to why one should use the kill switch. To me MSF is about "new riders" getting used to the bike...

I've been riding for close to 50 years and I've never understood the reason for turning off your bike with the emergency / kill switch, unless you go down. With modern bikes having a TOS, not even then. I see lots of folks turn off their bikes with it, then the key, sometimes they forget to turn...

Sweet!!!!! Sweet, love the dash. Looks like the front fairing is different. Not crazy about the flat black front fender. You'll get loads of enjoyment from her. If you take of your gas tank label, there's a guy on here that wants to buy.

"Yamaha Ring Free" is the hot lick all the factory wrenches swear by. You can use it as "maintance" or in your case "shock treatment." Best to ask your Yamaha mechanic about "shock treatment" when you P/U up a bottle. I understand you need to change your oil and filter right after a shock...

FYI = My G/F got wacked over 10 years ago. Her shoulder didn't bother her until almost a year later. She now goes to PT 3 times a week, just to keep it moving. Her point is, you may be hurt worst than you think. She let the guy off that hit her, now (10+ years later)she wished she hadn't.

Brought a used '07. The seller didn't have the plugs that fit the holes where the luggage hooks on. It's an '07, they're silver. New are around $12 + S&H. Thanks, Ray
