    Bob Hoover Aerobatics

I had the good fortune to watch Bob Hoover fly his P-51 Mustang at an air show in Minnesota just over 30 years ago. It was a dream come true for me and I've never forgotton the aerial display he put on. :D

    Are motorcycle tires nail magnets?

40 miles northwest of Moose Jaw, Saskatchawan, wide open prairie country, trans-Canada highway; rear tire found what had to be the only nail in hundreds of miles. Yes, bike tires are nail magnets!

    FJR Bottomless Pit

Little rubber caps on the vacuum tubes and even smaller wire clamps that hold the caps in place. These are removed to do a TBS (throttle body sync.). :)

There are many agencys before you cross the border, just select one, tell them how many days and pay the money. You will get the needed paperwork on the spot. Garner Valley at Mountain Center California

Hey TWN; looking at the map supplied by zzkenoman~ where the 243 marker is located is Mountain Center; Garner Valley starts directly across hwy 74 from the east tip of the lake that is shown; 243 leads to Idyllwild/Pine Cove and down to Hwy 10 in Banning; going northwesterly from that 243...

    Who is this member?

How strange, I've been reading Friction Zone for almost as long as it has been published and never realized until I clicked on TWN's clicky that Amy's address is in Mountain Center which is just a couple of miles up the mountain from me. The articles are just so good that I never read the fine...

It handles as well as your bike...

I have an '02 GL1800 and an '05 FJR in our garage; I can honestly say that when riding the same road (ie Hwy 243 in the San Jacinto Mtns.) I'm always faster when riding the FJR. The GL1800 is fast, smooth and comfortable, however, it is not a sport bike. It's big and it's heavy. I don't...

    Ski Santa Barbara

Well the FJR is in the garage and the Jeep is in the street waiting to go on a snow run in the mountains above us. It actually snowed in our town for about the 4th time in the past 30 years. B)

    Today's funnel could

In our "Sunny So. Cal" area it is cold (48 deg.) and windy; 1000 feet above us it is snowing and our Jeep club will be making a snow run tomorrow. B)

    Stator Interest?

IIRC, some years ago AGV produced a helmet with an a/c unit built in. Either the price was out of reach for most or it didn't work very well because I don't recall seeing any on the street. :)

    Stator Interest?

Hmmmm.......it's only money, which is only paper until it's put to a good use. ;)
