OK this is just a shot in the dark.... I had a clunking noise on rough roads a couple of years ago......it was one of my front rotors that developed a lot of play in the mounting bolts. Replaced and noise was gone. If you use your front brake while the klunking is there and it goes away then...

+1 This pretty much says it for me also, as I use an Arai. BUT, if it's true that they have changed to an external pack, then I would hesitate on a new purchase.

I usually have luck using another piece of fresh duct tape to "dab" the old glue residue off onto the fresh piece, but if the residue has aged alot this might not work. :rolleyes:

This is the reasoning behind doing the blow job method, to get the extra water out of the system. OP did say blow job. If done correctly no water will remain in the system.

So my question is do you put it on the centerstand while still sitting on the bike, or do you put it on the sidestand first then lift to centerstand? The reason I ask is that you hurt your left foot, which would be difficult unless you are on the bike. I have a really hard time doing it this...

I bought a set of pins a couple of years ago but never installed them because I deceided that they were overkill and were not neccesary. :blink: Maybe it's time to think about putting them on.

I have a Russell in all leather on my FJR. Just ordered another all leather one for my GS. For the extra $$ leather is the way to go.
