    switch for driving lights

I have an 08 FJR. I'm going to wire driving lights (Hellas) that I have on the Garauld brackets I bough a couple of years ago. What are my options for the switch that turns the driving light on/off? thanks

    Chock

Too late to help, but I recommend the CycleCinch.com over the Canyon Dancer I. I used the CD to get my ZZR1200 home in the back of my truck and it scared the crap out of me. I used the CC to take my immobile FJR to the dealer on a trailer (65 miles) and it was very secure. With both I used a...

    Vetter Magic Seat Board

Did anyone notice that Vetter stated once in use, you can't put your feet down? So you've got to remove it while riding. Anyone bringing this out as a product has enormous liability, no matter what disclaimer you include. Strikes me as a fabulous way to spend the rest of your life living in a...

    non-bungee cargo net

Ahhh, so I'm not crazy after all. My main concern is breakage of the cord or the cord coming out of the hook, then a load sliding off the bike and possibly getting caught in the wheel. I'm probably gonna make what I want.

    non-bungee cargo net

I personally haven't had a problem but I've read accounts of the hook coming out and taking out an eyeball, and of the hook coming loose and dropping into the wheel or chain and bringing the rider down. Probably 1/100,000 but I like things that are optimized.

    non-bungee cargo net

I need a little cargo net for strapping light things to the seat, rack, top of my bald head, etc. I'm aware of the dangers of bungee cords, though I think the ones with small hook and cord minimize this danger. So I'm looking for a cargo net, bike sized, that doesn't use bungees but instead...

    carrying extra fuel

Glad it's useful. I'm ordering a couple of their products to look at for dirt biking.

    carrying extra fuel

I'm not advocating this, but I thought I'd mentioned that I ran across this source for fuel bladders - JustGasTanks They are the American distributor for bladders from Liquid Containment, an Australian company. I have no connection with either of these companies.

    My FJR Made the Paper!

Wow, I've thought about buying a KLR650 and riding the perimeter of Colorado, including the trails. Your idea sounds great.

    What kind of boot socks??????

Due to a medical problem I often wear support hose, the kind you buy at Walmart pharmacy section. They work well for motorcycling. thin - don't hold heat wash easily and dry quick not hot cost around $8/pair help prevent blood clots (for us old geezers) only two colors - dark blue and black

I ride the shit out of my bike

Over in the dirt bike world a lot of the 50+ crowd are really fast once you get off the track and onto the trails. Not me though, I carom from tree to tree.

    Nearly avoided a crash

FWIW, back in the 70s I raced a GS750 Suzuki and learned to do most of my braking before beginning the lean, but also to taper off the braking gradually while beginning to lean. This was in the days of flexible frames (though that bike handled very well for its era) and you could induce a...

    calsci vs. cee bailey

I have a CalSci and a Cee Bailey flip, I thought a comparison might be useful. Me: 5'10.5" 210 lbs of fighting flab a little longer than average from butt to shoulders (based on how clothes fit) so I think I'm about 5'11" when it comes to height on the seat I mostly sit far forward on the...

    audiovox install kit

I'd like to put in this cruise control but I'm intimidate by the complexity, to say the least. So here's an idea - someone that has this all figured out should become a dealer for the AVCC, make up a kit of all the parts needed for a clean install and a good set of instructions with photos at...
