Thanks, I have been keeping an eye on it. Likely I will camp a night or two in VA along or near the parkway. As of now it appears that campgrounds on the pkwy. are closed. I see that there are many campgrounds in the area that cater to riders. Thinking I may take two days from VA to my folks...

Just booked a room for Friday 7/29- Sunday 8/1 in Robbinsville. Just for peace of mind. $180 for 2 night seems reasonable. May stick around the area longer or head up the Parkway into VA?

Will be picking up my 2015es shortly in Myrtle Beach and riding it to Asheville. Plant to do several days of riding in that area ( Dragon, Cheohala, Back of the Dragon and others) before heading north on the Parkway and take it from there.  

^ Then apparently mine is just barely broken and I didn't "need" a new bike. These FJR's are great machines!

I'm interested in getting a Seth Laam seat for my 2007 but will likely buy a 2015 or 2016 FJR in the next year or so. My question is will the seat for the genII be able to be transferred to the newer gen III? I emailed this question to Seth Laam a few days ago and got no response. Jut figured...
