Didn't expect to get this much response. The good news is my break-in is achieved as of today. I used various octane grades, and I used fuel with and without ethanol. My average MPG is around 45.4 as of today according to the display.

I hear ya brother. 22 years in the chAir Force and two wars under my belt has made me a little thick or one might say crazy but hey I definitely admit to being very green at this forum stuff. We all have our own opinion but thing that's common? Our brotherhood, passion to ride and our FJR.

Motoman's break-in reminds me of the days when I worked for CAT rebuilding diesels then dynamic them to break them in. Apple's and oranges.

If the 2014 was blue in color then I wouldn't consider the 2012 nearly as much as I love blue but red is my second favorite color. I've even thought about the 2016 but that would put me in a position of financing and I hate owing anyone money not to mention depreciation in a 2016. Thank you for...
