Because the swing arm and the dog bone are high pressure parts. I don't like using a grease that will wash out like lithium soap based grease. I pack swing arm bearings and pivot bearings with Yamaha Yamalube Molybdenum Disulfide Grease. It wont wash out and stays put. $0.02

Reservations made. For this trip. The cost of fuel may be more then the hotel.

controller on mine. the case has got a crack (along the top edge) from age and needs to be replaced.

Almost ready. Tires replace ---- Done Inspect brakes ---- Done Clean calipers ---- Done Oil change ---- Done Check and grease rear hub --- Done Neck bearing check and torque --- Done And anything else I cant remember right now. I'm going on a side trip to FLA. to see Dad then WV.

Tires arrived on Friday (yesterday). I ordered on Thursday from Revzilla.  Bridgestone BT023 front $130 and rear $180. + U.S . Government user fee. Free ride.

1500 mi there and back plus riding around West Virginia. Do I have enough tread left? And no I don't know how many are on the tires now. Then that little voice in my head talks about  Better safe then sorry.

I'm debating the tire thing myself.
