If you couldn't have an FJR what would be the next best thing?

Hope you didn't think I was being a smarta$$ asking about the switch because I genuinely wanted to know. You said the ST does EVERYTHING the FJR did. I checked the Yamaha site and they said it has an adjustable windshield but made no mention of how it adjusted so I asked you. Sometimes I like...

Does it have a switch that moves the windshield up or down?

    New Harley Sighting?

I played with a guy all morning on a 1200 Sportster once and he actually thought he had something for my FZ1 until I stood it all I could, then it was bye bye. To Panman, I'm sure the new Pan America is a great bike but I'm just not into ugly fairings, knobby tires and big honkin side boxes.

    New Harley Sighting?

The above meme didn't originate with me, I just ran across it online and thought because this is an FJR forum, someone might find it humorous. Guess not, sorry I posted it. BTW, I also own a Road King, and love it.

    FJR v Versys 1000

She's had both knees replaced but they still give her a lot of trouble. I have a set of those on the FJR too and they helped a lot but it's more than just the peg height, the RK is easier to get on and off, has a great backrest, has full passenger floorboards plus a better seat, and overall...

    FJR v Versys 1000

I have a Road King for 2 up so the FJR feels like a featherweight when I'm on it. Everything is a compromise and I decided long ago that "dual purpose" really means not being great at anything. A friend owned a Versys 650 and after riding it, I want no part of anything "Versys". It wasn't a good...

    FJRF008: Cam Chain Tensioner Survey

I believe you read only the first sentence of my post. Here's the rest: "Where's the one that failed? I'd be interested in knowing if it had a dot of paint on it.".

    FJRF008: Cam Chain Tensioner Survey

Do you know for a fact that it was actually replaced? Where's the one that failed? I'd be interested in knowing if it had a dot of paint on it.

    My 08 on North Carolina

I bought this bike around the middle of last summer with 15,500 miles on it. I immediately chased all the ground spiders out, dropped the rear suspension to lube everything plus changed the fork oil. Have since done a valve check and TB sync. It's completely stock except for the windshield going...

    Hearing Aids

I'm completely deaf in my left ear and have a 75% high frequency loss in my right. I also wear earplugs anytime I ride to preserve what hearing I have left. I use google maps for navigation through a Sena SMH 10 inside a Shoei GT Air and have no problem hearing directions even with my ear plugs...

The reason why I'm checking things

Finally fixed my bike. In addition to what I mentioned that I did above, I also worked on a few ground spiders. Of the two at the left rear engine, one has the ground circuit going back to the ECU for the engine sensors. I really don't think I had a bad connection but if it wasn't that it must...

The reason why I'm checking things

No sir, no codes, all stock and everything checks out in the diag. mode.  One thing I noticed though and the reason I checked the cam timing, when checking my throttle body sync, the vacuum level I'm seeing is less than I saw on a couple of U Tube vidoes. Mine only gets to 16 on my Morgan...

The reason why I'm checking things

Back playing with the bike a while this morning, no matter how I connect an ohmmeter through the MAP sensor and apply pressure or vacuum, I see no change in resistance. How can that be if this sensor is working? Guess I should put the bike back together and check the output voltage. Started...
