    Hello from Houston!

Welcome! What side of Htown? On the north side FM149, north of Montgomery is a nice ride. I'd do 249 out of H to 149 just north of Tomball. Therr is also a nice lap you can plan out looping Lake Livingston. I was in Conroe, recently moved to New Waverly. I usually just open up Google and make...

    Parts For Sale Smuggler trunk

The pic in this thread is the same pic as Smug4 in the above quoted thread from a seller in Texas. It's allegedly in Alaska now, with DHL shipping. I also asked for more pics and payment methods, never heard back. I wouldn't trust unless he throws out some original pictures that are not lifted...

    Slippery Slope

I prefer all caps as my hearing isn't what it used to be. :D

    Mileage

I also use 50 mi after it starts blinking, which usually puts me around 275 mi for that tank. At that point I generally put in about 6.1 gallons. Also considerating how you are riding, you need to be aware of how much weight is on the bike including the what's in the saddlebags.

GF wants bike -- help wanted

17-yr old thread, 12yr old bike story from early this past June, seems to fit. My never-ridden, will never ride, wife recently told me she was tired of staring at the back of my head and was considering her own bike. So I started looking at sub-500cc bikes for her to start out on. "No I want...

What did you do to your FJR today?

Not today, but yesterday. Put some new shoes on her. Replaced the worn out Dunlop Sportmax RS III's with a pair of RS IV. Such an underrated tire. Good in the wet, super in the corners and long lasting. But you don't really hear much about them. I don't know how long the RS III's were on as I...

    How tall are you?

6' even, maybe 6'1"-2" with riding boots on. 32" inseam and a bit heavier than you. Bought my 18 used, in less than a year I've put over 10K miles on it. Came with a taller VStream windscreen and Corbin seat, would love to go to a Laam or RDL. Other than the cold or inclement weather the...

    Summer Jackets, Pants, and Gloves

Ditto on the Klim jacket (Texas oven rider). My riding pants did come with a rear zipper along with the other half which could be sewn onto the jacket. Haven't done it yet, not sure if I will.

    New to me 2018A

Picked it up a few months ago, with Corbin seat and V-Stream windshield. Have since added Helibar bridge, lower foot peg brackets (ahh, much more comfortable with those two), heavier bar end weights, SWMotech frame sliders and 3,000+ miles. Needs a bath and stiffer suspension. 😁
