What did you do to your FJR today?

Last night I modified a 2020 hayabusa shock and fit it to my 2005 non-ABS fjr. Today I set the sag and started dialing in the damping.

    BRP in 1 day

I did it 15 years ago. The speed limit was a constant 45mph back then and I ran a steady 50mph from mile marker 0 in VA to mm 470 in Cherokee NC. I did get off the parkway for a leisurely lunch, and did some sight seeing. I left mm 0 around 09:00 and reached Cherokee about 22:00.

    can anyone identify this bushing?

Apparently, I pulled the bolt head into the hole for the bushing.. just enough to hold the bolt in place. I both reassembled the bike without this bushing and rode it about 50 miles.

    Extremely low MPG

i was recently wondering the same thing as I have a very pessimistic fuel gauge. if the float assembly is on a bar, that bar may be bent to correct the error. this would probably require some trial and error to get it just right.

    FJR NooB here!

I felt a lot of heat blowing out between the frame and fairing on my 05. Alittle automotive weather stripping from Amazon helped and looks almost factory.

    i made a fly screen

Nice. that looks really good. I originally thought about cutting down a windshield, but, couldn't find one at a reasonable price and thought I might like to have mine in the winter.

    i made a fly screen

I cut it with a heavy duty pair of scisors. I first rough cut it a little large, then I traced the shape I wanted with a black sharpie, bending it so it fit the shape of the W frame. And trimmed it with the same pair of scisors. Finaly I lightly filed the top edge.

What did you do to your FJR today?

The 1/2" automotive weather stripping, I ordered off Amazon, arrived and I Installed it to the edge of the fairing, between the fairing and frame, in front of my knees. It looks factory. I can't wait to see if it keeps some of the hot air off my legs.

Thanks guys. I am really happy with how it turned out. My original plan was to cut down a stock windshield. I'm glad I went this route.

    i made a fly screen

I live in SC and it has been around 95 degrees and 95% humidity since the day I bought this bike. I've never been really big on windshields and even cut down the stock windshield on my FZ1 so the barn door that came with my FJR just had to go. I will save it for our 1 month of winter here. I...

What did you do to your FJR today?

I registered the bike and took her for my very first ride. A 200 mile loop through the hills of western NC. Upon return, I removed the slack in the throttle cable to help mitigate some of that off idle abruptnes (first FI bike. I'm used to carburetors) and lowered the rear brake pedal to make it...
