And I am not a fan of TFT displays. Just sayin’.

    FJR1300 To Be Retired

Not just a unicorn anymore. Thanks Yamaha for ending what was a fine motorcycle and replacing it with a bike that I really am not interested in.

Where did you get your bike from in California?

    FJR1300 To Be Retired

I have been to quite a few Yamaha dealers during my cross country trip to Minnesota a few days ago asking them about FJR’s. These bikes are unicorns! Dealers have told me that can’t get them and there was dealer in MInnesota that told me a guy came up from Kansas City last year to get the one...

If you couldn't have an FJR what would be the next best thing?

Loved my ST1100 too! 120,000 and the rear end went out because the dealer in New Hampshire forgot to grease the splines when I got tires there on a road trip 3 years ago.

    FJR Age Limit

My 2005 Road Glide is going in for a complete overhaul at 109,000 miles. The local Harley dealer says shop policy is nothing older than an ‘06 Harley, but because I bought it there and it‘s very clean, they will take care of me. Harley still makes all of the parts required such as swing arm...

    Hello from Minnesota

Good morning from Camarillo, CA. You did the same thing I did. I keep my FJR in Minnesota and the RT is here with me in SoCal. Had a great time riding the Yamaha down to Anamosa, IA this fall to look at the museum with my son-in-law, who owns a GS. We rode the river roads and thoroughly...

What is the worst thing you have seen a cager do?

A CHP motor officer wrote that he had a woman pull out right in front of him and forced him to go down. He slid on the crash bar, brought the bike to a halt, turned around, caught up with her and pulled her over. When he asked if she’d seen him, she replied yes she had, but didn’t know he was...

If you couldn't have an FJR what would be the next best thing?

At 69 years old and love the FJR. Still have my R1200RT and the Road Glide. IF, and that’s a big IF, I could replace the FJR with something from my past it would have to be my 1979 Suzuki GS1000. That bike was so smooth and deceptively fast. I really liked that bike so much and the seat was...

    New owner in SoCal

You are correct when saying that Deer Creek is much nicer when heading to PCH. I always come at it from Yerba Buena road near Neptunes Net. It really is nice in the Spring when the hills have greened up. Thanks for the welcome from Moorpark.

Ventura County - Camarillo I am really enjoying this Yamaha. Took it down PCH yesterday and came back through on Deer Creek Road. What a gas and I’ve got to admit….this bike has such beautiful mid-range roll on power. I think I’m an addict now.

Really am looking forward to riding again in Wisconsin, MIchigan and Minnesota. I grew up there and loved riding in the Fall. This FJR will be very nice to use on the Great River Road along the Mississippi River this year.

Glad you could run from this place. Maybe getting the FJR to Minnesota is the first step in a relocation process.

Good afternoon. I have been riding for a very long time and am the proud owner of a 2005 FJR! Only 28K on the clock and the previous owner had replaced steering head bearings, fluids and tires. Look forward to many years on this FJR. Currently have a 2005 Road Glide with 108K on it and a...
