    front wheel bearings

I just received wheel bearings for a V Star from Partzilla and they are from Japan. 🤑 I pay more for OEM, but then have; ZERO fitment issues, trouble, doubt, anxiety, and/or remorse... need I go on... 🤷‍♂️ Watch out for sandy roads.....

    front wheel bearings

I threw my Yamaha original wheel bearings out. They probably said made in Japan from 06. I’ll look closer next time I order some. Spring is just around the corner; I can’t wait!!!

    front wheel bearings

Word of warning... I purchased All Balls for a BMW front wheel. They didn't last for one tire. The tire wore prematurely, and I was bad mouthing Bridgestone; until I removed it and discovered the bearings were JUNK! I've since became an OEM guy. Even "Name Brand" bearings come from...

    Anyone use tank bags?

I never leave home without it. I have the Yamaha offering, it has a permanent base that attaches around the steering neck, and back of the tank. Covers the entire tank. Then the bag itself detaches for fill ups, etc. Not waterproof, but very few are. (Even when they say they are) Tank stays...

General consensus - Should I rebuild calipers on 2013 A at 24k miles?

After flushing the brake system. When you activate the ABS pump; 1, do you need to do front and rear individually? 2, once or twice a season or every third or fourth ride?

    More luggage options

Digging that trailer! Now I want to build one!! I use a duffle when traveling, in place of a pillion, works like a back rest. Wish my ride was silver... Pete-o

    Excessive fuel consumptuon

Purchased my 06 with the power a commander already installed. 34-36 MPG. AT BEST! Neutralized the commander, now get 40-45 MPG. Just say'n... still has plenty of power. Ivan flash is next in line for me. As raesewell said; more info please... Pete-o

Looking for advice on Tie Down Straps

I've been using a Canyon Dancer strap for years. Rock Solid and soft (no scratched up handle bar area). Very well made too. I add straps to the back just for extra stability. Pete-o

    Fjr regestry

I'm not sure I get it either. Blue 2006 FJR 1300 A ABS with 18K. See thumbnail, to your left. My VIN ends in 148. so, in my mind, they had 147 units to practice on before they made mine. (y) Pete-o

    YSS rear shock adjustment

I had RaceTech rebuild my 06 A stock shock for $850 USD. The next rebuild will be less. (There's machining involved the first time) Worth exploring IMHO. And it's original to the bike... I like that! Rides great, and I knew it was going to fit perfect... Pete-o

    ABS rear brakes engaging

I just replaced my lines with SS Galfer's. You pay shipping, and you can have my old ones. 06 18K. Probably cost about $15 USD Pete-o

The two and three cylinder scream machines called "sport tourers"

Newburyport isn't that far from Western Mass. Surely you remember; we helped pay for the "Big Dig"! Bostonians only remember Western Mass at tax time, 🤑 we're like another country the rest of the year. We should go for a scoot together sometime. I frequent Plymouth from time to time. Love my...

    I’m new here.

I recently purchased a used ECU for my 06. With the plan to have Ivan Flash the used one, and still have the option to return to stock. Still waiting to receive it. I love the mountains and need engine braking... don't I? I was under the impression, "Drivability" was the big draw to the flash...

The two and three cylinder scream machines called "sport tourers"

Tough to beat the FJR for long distance. BUT it does have some quirks. (Hostage Keys, Spiders, Iron man clutch pull) Love the gas milage, plus the "Excelleration is Addicting"! That said; we're all addicts, IMHO looking for the next long-distance fix! I'm going to rehab; anyone want to join me...
