    ABS brake issues

I have pretty much given up on the damn thing, as did my mechanic. I changed out the abs pump and yes it now works through the jumper and through the regular mashing the rear brakes. Still have a problem that once underway the rear brakes if lightly used will start to grab. Relaesing the...

Rear caliper locked up when braking hard. now rear doesn't work, 2007 FJR

Can you list the part numbers on what you bought to fix it. I have been without my bike now for well over 2 months.

Rear caliper locked up when braking hard. now rear doesn't work, 2007 FJR

So you are unable to bled the rear caliper? I am having the same issue, but when mine looks up I loosen the bleeder screw and it releases. I have received a lot of opinions as to what to do but nothing works. Since it releases I will remove the fuse to the ABS to see if it is the cause. I will...

    ABS rear brakes engaging

Thank you, I was told by my mechanic that what he may try Monday. It has us both stumped.

    ABS rear brakes engaging

And ran the ABS Pump through the proper way of the jumper in diagnostics, not going down the road and slamming the brakes. Not needed anyway WHEN THE DARN BRAKES ARE ALREADY ENGAGING BEFORE I EVEN FOR MY LITTLE TOE ON THE DARN LEVER. After it rest for 10 minutes it releases. Now what is your guess?

    ABS rear brakes engaging

I have completly remove the rear brake lever assemply because in order to rebuild the master cylinder it is what has to be done, with that I definitly lost fluid and with that I lost pressure so in turn yes I bled the system. While bleeding the system i appropriatly added fluid, OH the correct...

    ABS rear brakes engaging

I could list the things I did, but it is all the obvious suspects of what may cause it. I am 100% sure it is not something obvious. I rebuilt the rear master cylinder which means disconnecting it from the brake pedal. It worked fine for 4 months. Did about 10 over 250 mile trips on it with no...

    ABS rear brakes engaging

My mechanic and I have gone over all the obvious issues. Many times over. I whish it was something simple as a dirty caliper pin or brake cylinder or grungy brake lever. The question is anyway of testing to see if the ABS would suddenly apply pressure to the rear brake. Sorry but my frustration...

    ABS rear brakes engaging

Thanks for the insight, but replacing parts that have worked for 6months doubtful it is the solution. Plus neither would just suddenly engage without pressing any brake levors. As for testing, its kinda hard to do when the rear brake begins to engage prior to taking it down a slippery surface.

    ABS rear brakes engaging

I have a 2007 FJR with 115000 miles. My rear brakes slowly start to engage while riding without pressing the brakes. Ran it through multiple times of test of the ABS PUMP in diagnostic mode and bled the brakes multiple times. Yet once you start down the road it slowly engages. Either release the...

    Fault Code 12

That is correct, I did just that and got an ABS light. But my problem with my brake in the rear was the brakes lightly engaging while riding. Then the code 12, change solenoid but reverse and ABS light on. Really a pain in the ass. Like a dog trying to catch his tail.

    Fault Code 12

I saw this on You Tube.

    Fault Code 12

I have a 2007 FJR and received a code 12 also. Went through everything I could, check crankshaft sensor and other wires, connections and relays. Then saw a video on YouTube about a code 12 on a high end Yamaha ATV. Turns out it was a starter solenoid. Changed it and cleared the code and good to...

    ABS brake issues

I'm having the mechanic check the relays. Thanks. If it would be possible to just turn off the whole ABS sysytem, I would. Don't think the thing worked in the first place. I bought it used and just to see, I would hit the back brakes hard and they would lock up.

    ABS brake issues

No resistance, also forgot to add that when you pump the rear brake pedal it releases the brake but then as the bike runs it begins to grab again.

    ABS brake issues

Yes, went through the process and it will not activate.

    ABS brake issues

All the above has been checked and rechecked by me and my mechanic. It seems to be the ABS pump is malfunctioning but would like to be sure.

    ABS brake issues

I have a 2007 FJR with 113000 miles on it. I have flushed both front and rear brake reservoirs. I have rebuilt the rear brake master cylinder and have replaced the seals on the rear brake caliper, and it was working fine for about 1300 miles. Then after I had replaced the front and rear tires I...
