I'm having zero luck finding a spare XT power cable to set up my GPS for both bikes. If anybody has one they aren't using or knows where one could be found it would be appreciated. They seem to be out of stock everywhere.

I went with the cheap Chinese rotors on the wing cause I could get them quick. So far they stop fine. Probably have 20k on them. I'll measure them at the next tire change. Probably not as good as OEM but for now they work.

I just got my new XT and all the pairing with phone and Sena says it worked but I don't get the traffic directions via the Bluetooth. The music in the XT transmits just fine but the driving directions don't. they play out of the little speaker on the unit but that sucks with ear plugs...

I have a set of factory FZ1 mirrors that can be yours for the cost of shipping. They are used and have some minor scratches on the back but will clean up to look like new. They have a lot of experience on Mad Mikes 05 FJR. Let me know if you want them

I secured a bungie net in the lid of my top box using adhesive zip tie bases and the ties. I stretched it snug and cut off the excess. It wouldn't hold a lot of weight but it allowed for more useful storage without losing stuff when you open the case

I used some cheap Chinese rotors on my wing and they work just fine for about 1/3 the cost of factory.  I had to pay the big bucks for the 03 FJR cause they were orphans. 

Check out Churchill gloves in Wa. or Sullivan gloves in Bend or.  I buy off the seconds rack at Sullivan and they are cheap. Damn that OLD fart anyway.

I've had some success polishing tubes in the lathe using 800 grit and 1200 grit paper. if the scratches won't polish out then he is screwed. I don't know if Forks by Frank is still in business or not but if so they can replate the hard chrome tubes and polish to size. Otherwise yes the 04 forks...

Years ago while riding through Idaho with a sheep skin on my FJR a local said he was glad to see that I brought my girlfriend along . It did improve the stock seat but the real answer is Russell.

Garmin's needs to be involved cause that is where the tunes are. I tried pairing the phone with Sena but then no tunes or GPS. Haven't tried pairing Patti's phone to her set. Maybe today it will be in a good mood.

I have 0 interest in pairing to other folks. I just want tunes,intercom and phone to work dependably. On rare occasions all three will work. So far this trip the phone worked once. That makes a total of 6 times in two years. Most of the time I get tunes and intercom if the units are on before...
