    Headlight Modulator suggestions

FWIW, I use a Kisan modulator. It is legal in all 50 states and Canada. As stated above, it is annoying if you have it on and are following other vehicles, but it only modulates when you have your high beams on during the daylight so you can easily turn it off during the day by switching your...

    Dash piece gone missing

I don't see any picture, but based on the part number you posted I see it at Revzilla for $112 and Bike Bandit for $120. If you don't want to spend over $100 on it the you might find a used one on EBAY or from someone parting out an FJR.

Thinking of buying a Fluke automotive ScopeMeter... Thoughts, Ideas?

How much do you think KrZy8 is worth these days? If you have the money and want something new to play with, then go for it.

    Gonna do tapered head bearings

Here you go. It is worth reading the entire thread to get additional tips, especially the ones about heat and cold.

MotoBike Jack - pick your pig up off the ground!

That tool looks a little bulky to carry all the time for that rare time I would need to lift the FJR off of the ground. On those rare occasions that I did drop it I either had someone riding with me to help or someone in a car stopped to lend a hand. For off road use, I would think a tree, a...

What's The Best Way To "UN" Compress A Tire

Another vote for the strap, though I have also used a length of rope and a stick to tighten it like a tourniquet. That and the warm sun like 08FJR4ME said and it should work fine.

ear buds or in helmet bluetooth

I always wear comfy earplugs when riding. I have small speakers in my helmet and can hear music and other things from the speakers just fine through the earplugs. Earplugs are inexpensive and easily replaced when needed.

    Dented rim

You may be able to get the dent repaired if the metal has not cracked. Just google 'motorcycle wheel repair' to find a place near to you and read some reviews of their work.

    Earplugs: just me?

I always wear ear plugs when riding and I do not experience any of the issues you describe. In fact, back when I did not wear ear plugs I would get tired a lot sooner. I do not know of any on ear or over the ear noise cancelling device that would fit inside a helmet.

4x8 utility trailer haul a FJR

A 4x8 trailer is plenty large enough to haul an FJR. Just make sure the trailer is designed for the weight. It will make it easier if you buy a chock for the front wheel. Harbor Freight sells an inexpensive one which works well.

    RAM ball on dash?

I agree with Iggy and would not mount a ram ball to a plastic part. You can mount two Ram balls to the handlebars, one on each side. My '05 had a hole on the clutch side that was tapped and Ram makes a ball that fit it. I had to drill and tap a hole in the brake side to match the other one. I...

Difference in ABS Rings 3P6-2517G-00 vs. 3P6-2517G-00-00?

Those rings may be magnet keepers to help keep the magnets up to full strength in storage.

    Inexpensive led driving lights ?

I have a pair of LED work lights mounted on Garald brackets below my mirrors. I don't remember where I got them, but they look a lot like these: https://www.amazon.com/Round-Light-Power-Tractor-Degree/dp/B007ZGBLNW They are big and heavy for fork mounting, but they are inexpensive and...

Custom fog / driving light brackets

The brackets are nice, but you'll never be able to pull that Haulmark trailer unless you mount a car tire on back.

    New Seat Improvement Option

Seems pricey, but handy. I'll wait to see how people like it before getting interested. If it were made adjustable so one could be used for several different motorcycles it might be worth it.

Illegal to have things protruding from your helmet?

I would expect a ticket if I had my license plate in a back pack. If it fell off and I found it I would immediately fasten it back on somehow. If I didn't have a couple of zip ties or a piece of wire I would stop and buy what I needed right away. I'm sure the gas station could have supplied him...

An air horn is a must

Interesting you say this. I had a pair of Blasters and they eventually failed by getting full of road grime and rain water too many times so I replaced them with the Nautilus. I do blast the Nautilus every once in a while to amuse my friends, so I know it still works. It is a good idea to test...

An air horn is a must

I have a Stebel Nautilus compact air horn mounted on my '05 in place of the left factory horn. It is tight and I had to bend the mounting bracket just right in order to clear the radiator and forks when the forks are fully compressed. I also had to trim the black plastic piece that Yamaha...
