    Genuine Yamaha Brake Pads

I've been running EBC H&H front and rear for a few years now. Rotors still look really good. I could Mic them, but I've seen plenty of worn rotors and these don't look like that. The pads are doing their job just like the OEM ones did.

choice of wind screen for cooler weather

I have a Cee Bailey tinted reverse flip that is like +2 wide and +2 or 3 tall. I took it off because it was too big for me and made riding too hot. For NM, it just wasn't what I wanted. You can have it for $100 + shipping. It is currently sitting in a box in storage.  Edit:  Here is the link...

    Mysterious RAM X-Mount Failure

Except when it's raining. Except when it's too bright. Except when it's too hot. Except when it's too cold. Except when the mount isn't right. Except when it won't charge. Except when I need to talk on it. Except when service is weird. That's like saying, "The best way to get somewhere is to...

    Mysterious RAM X-Mount Failure

The Quadlock is super cool. It's a little more money, but you won't lose your phone and the Quadlock has wireless charging, so no plug ins required. Just mount your phone and it stays charged.

    :..Which Mirrors work..:

I helped a guy install those once. They made the mirrors better, but not nearly as good as a set of the FZ1 mirrors. For my money, I'd go the FZ1 mirror route every time.

    FJR and motoport jackets

You will find there are very few waist length jackets around here. Most are wearing 3/4 length jackets. The waist length jackets seem to get saved for local day trips. The Motoport brand is also very popular. That jacket should be just fine, but as always, you may be shaped funny and YMMV. Haha!

Gen II ECU reflash by Ivan

Dang it! I never realized Ivan finally got set up for the GenIIs. As soon as he's back, I'm going to send mine off. I put a reminder in my calendar! Lol

    Bar end nut removal?

The Throttlemeister comes with a small "insert removal tool," which if I remember right can be replicated with a big washer and a bolt that is long enough to reach the insert. Thread it through the washer and into the insert's threads. Use a wrench to spin the bolt and pull the insert out.  It...

    garmin 396 lmt

Like most bluetooth stereos I would assume you have a media button or setting and a bluetooth setting inside there. Those are for music input meaning if you set up your Kenwood so the music from your GPS is feeding your stereo, when directions interrupt the music, you will hear it. Otherwise, if...

    Help with 2003 Forks

Oh, I read where you suggested a hydraulic shop. I missed it if you said you work in one. That has to be a cool job!! I'll get them from Mike and send you whatever you need. I think that's a Hellavua good idea. Whether or not it works would be good to know. I'll let you know.

    Help with 2003 Forks

Ah!! That's good information that I didn't know!! Hopefully the guy at MotoAuthority can figure it out. He's a decent guy and a pretty competent mechanic. I'm sure it'll be fine!

    Help with 2003 Forks

Holy cow, AuburnFJR came through and is shipping fork tubes to me as I type this. Sorry it took me so long to get back. I kind of fell off and have just been up to my ears. Thanks for all the suggestions and help.  I think my BIL will be good to go.

    Help with 2003 Forks

So, my brother-in-law, Mike, has a 2003 FJR that he bought used. It has had fork seal issues since not long after he bought it. He took them to a local mechanic who is known for doing good work and got the seals replaced. The owner told Mike that someone scratched up the "inner tubes" and the...

    Tonight, the Throttlemeister install

The TM comes with a machine screw and a tool that is used to lock down the mechanism on the throttle side. I'm trying to remember, but that tool may have also been necessary to remove the OEM barend weights. I THINK the left is just pressured in, but I could be wrong. I'd have to get home and...

    Jake Wilson

Yup, dummy!! You're correct. Don't know why I was thinking DK. However, it was Jake Wilson.

    Jake Wilson

Well, today's email answered the question I asked in my last post. Riders Domain will now simply "merge" With Rocky Mountain ATV and be under one name. Honestly, I don't know why it was ever split in the first place. Maybe a business acquisition, kept the Jake Wilson name, and then moved on with...

    What rack is this?

WTF?!?! WHERE do you see welds? Am I missing something? Oh, and no idea where that rack came from. Maybe Garauld is on to something.

    Help- Power commander install

Make sure your throttle cables are adjusted correctly. It's super easy to do. Just a couple small nuts a few inches from the throttle. IF you end up still needing or wanting a PC-III or V they are super easy to install, and PC sends them with great instructions. Make absolutely sure you ground...
