    Carbon Fiber Luggage Rack

It certainly helps support the subframe and makes breakage much less likely. Wouldn't say it eliminates the risk.

Mixing Michelin Road 6 GT and 4 GT?

I don't have any problem mixing tires. I always liked a Michelin PR2 rear tire with a Bridgestone BT023 front.

Mixing Michelin Road 6 GT and 4 GT?

I never had a Michelin front tire I liked. While initial handling and overall longevity have been decent, my experience has been that they wear in an oddly squared off trapezoidal shape and handling from mid-life onward suffers. I haven't tried the Road 5 or Road 6. Some people love them -...

Screen extensions - any good on stock screen?

They help for some screens and for some people. I bought one and it improved things a bit but I ended out with a better screen (Cee Bailey which is no longer available). You can get those extensions quite cheap on eBay or AliExpress so it may not be expensive to give it a try.

    What tire to buy?

Looking forward to the Roadsmart IV I have waiting to go on. I have run (and liked) multiple sets of the RS III. Haven't had the FJR out yet this year (but have been out four times on my BMW F700GS).

    Hitch manufacturers???

Are you looking for a trailer or do you already have one?

    Saddle bag reverberation

Depends on your standards (or expectations). Some people have used PlastiDip for a removeable coating that looks better than a rashed bag. You can still have it properly restored at a later time. Others have used truck bedliner spray. Permanent and a very "industrial" look. Neither is a...

    yamaha adjustable levers

I have a set of Pazzos that I have used for 450,000 km on two FJRs over an interval of 14 years. They still look (and work) like new. They came with the lightly used 2007 I bought in 2010 and I moved them over to my current 2011 (in 2018) after almost 300,000 km. Pazzos are not cheap and I...

    LED headlight for 2013?

Possibly a power consideration with the bike, but only one filament or the other is lit at the same time when an incandescent H4 bulb is used in an automotive application where alternator output isn't as much of an issue. I suspect the problem with both halogen elements being lit simultaneously...

I am trying to convert a 2020 Police FJR for 2 up riding.

I may be mistaken, but I think any of the rear body parts are compatible between all bikes 2006+... ?? Check on-line parts fiche to verify. I compared one of the parts and prefix was different but number was the same. You may want to check it out because it may give you a lot more options for...

    Anyone use tank bags?

Magnets on mine are VERY secure as well. Scratches happen when lifting and replacing the bag. Inevitably, some movement no matter how careful you are in lifting (and replacing) the magnets individually.

    Anyone use tank bags?

I have the PPF on some locations on my FJR, but not the tank. Painter's tape is ugly but works and can be easily removed (or refreshed). If I used the tank bag all the time, I would probably use the 3M product on at least the main contact points. I also have a BMW (F700GS) with a plastic...

    Anyone use tank bags?

I use a fairly large Nelson Rigg magnetic tank bag on trips. Not waterproof but it has a waterproof cover. Interferes with the bars at full steering lock (with Genmar risers) but not during normal riding. Note for magnetic tank bags: Grit ALWAYS finds it way under the magnets no matter how...

    More luggage options

All depends on your needs. For me, this wouldn't be nearly large enough to accommodate camping gear/food/additional clothing etc. for a major trip. (I would also prefer to pay less for a 100% waterproof dry duffel bag and a set of Rok straps.) Nice that this one can double as a backpack...

Need help remembering a vendor name...

Others have made them as well, but I recall Kuryakyn switches that attach to the brake reservoir... Don't know about the "PJ" part https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/kuryakyn-master-cylinder-reservoir-cover-accessory-switches?sku_id=1077560 Also...

    More luggage options

Not large enough for MY needs for camping and longer trips but looks like a suitable choice for extra luggage and won't obscure rear vision. Just make sure that whatever you get is 100% waterproof!! My drybag has never leaked a drop.

    More luggage options

I mentioned that the dry bag I have is too wide for optimum vision, but the price was right. Semi-hard bottom and reinforced vinyl/polyester upper. 110 Litres for under $50. They also make a 70 Litre version that might be better, depending on your needs. I've had mine for 10 years or so and...

    More luggage options

I think it depends on the geometry of the rider, topcase and windshield. I feel a little push from the wind with the topcase but barely noticeable. I always ride with the topcase - place to store spare gloves, cleaning cloths, lunch, beverage and lockable storage to throw stuff like GPS into...
