Good source for OEM Side Cases and other accessories

You are lucky to have had as little damage to you and to the bike as you did. While I have a pair of bags in my basement in 2006 colors, they are for the 'A" (works for the '12 too). Ad it is a pair. You can always buy a bag and have it painted (Garauld on the forum is a great resource for...

2nd/3rd Gen Mirror Spacers & LED Light Brackets

Ever been to Japan? This is not a tall group of overweight people (in general). The professionals that design our bikes probably average 5' 6" and weigh in at about 120 pounds. THEY can see behind themselves, so for them it isn't an issue.

    Michelin tops tire review

Not much difference, score-wise between the compared tires. Has anyone here ever used a T30 from Bridgestone on their FJR?

    2013 ECU Revised Part Number

If you don;t like the red you can buy one in Canada and get the fix, a proper all black machine AND keys that don't bend . . . . however you'd lose the ability to set your speedo and fuel consumption in US measure.

    2013 ECU Revised Part Number

Those people didn't already have cruise control on their rides.

    2013 ECU Revised Part Number

And if they did up the top setting speed for the cruise, would you really spend $630 just to get it?

2nd/3rd Gen Mirror Spacers & LED Light Brackets

A couple of points for consideration; When the Gen-II was released Yamaha had gone to great pains to make the machine narrower - they moved side cases inboard and the mirrors spaced narrower - this to improve the ability to 'filter' through heavy traffic. Indeed, the narrower mirror placement...

Is it possible to Music Share between the 20s and SMH10?

You ought to be able to, since the SMH10 supports it with the latest firmware.

What's the best brake light modulator?

I have the same flasher module as John D and it works just fine. Mine is (usually) wired up to a Whelen Dominator-2 (that's two TIR-3 units in an aluminum frame) mounted on the back end of the bike. I also concocted a circuit to determine when the hazards are enabled - that switches the light...

Replaced Gen II shock with a Gen III shock

When the shock on my ES goes and if it is after my 5 year warranty expires, the ES functionality will be sacrificed . . . . .

How do you use your Sena ?

    1. Music, ringing, intercom and phone volume settings are independent of each other. 2. The 'universal intercom' feature works by pretending to be a phone to the non-Sena user. So the other user will necessarily lose his phone connection unless his device supports multiple concurrent phones...

    New Garmin Zumo... 590LM

One of my best buddies is the Garmin distributor for Canada and he is a rider as well (sort of, when he isn't running around in one of his exotic cars). His sample 590 arrived today and he was going to take it home tonight, though I'm not going to drive the 25 miles to his place to check it...

    New Garmin Zumo... 590LM

No wired interface. No place to plug in a traffic receiver and, of course if you are out of range of a cell tower, no weather or any other connected services. But is has an MP3 player, the curvy roads function and the TPMS plus it'll work with your iPod and iPhone for Pandora and Android...

    *@#! Sena SMH10 Not Working

My experience has been that they are hard to get off the bracket - if it 'popped off' while underway then either the retainer snapped or it wasn't seated as it wanted to be - possibly because of a deformed mount (screws too tight or the bracket wedged open a bit?). You'll never know now. Sorry...

    Anybody running the Sena SMH-10R?

Since when do you believe everything that Microsoft tells you? You can use their update software . . . .

    Best replacement battery. 2005 ABS

The Shorai batteries and their competitors have reported issues with cold weather operation. The bike's electrical system is designed (so to speak) for AGM battery technology. Again, having been through issues with several (3) Motobatt aftermarket batteries I dumped the Motobatt and bought the...
