    Pilot Road 6 GT

Just put them on and did 1200 miles so far... they feel really good. Fresh rubber first pic, then scrubbed in rubber after trip.

    Which Givi top box best?

Givi E55 and V47... the E55 is great and big (!) but looks like you're getting chased by a flying saucer... I also get just the slightest wind feel from it. I prefer the V47.

Favorite Communicator Uclear, Sena, Cardo, GMRS, What?

SENA 20 with Shure earbuds... I was wearing earplugs and using the in helmet speakers but found the earbuds GREATLY improved the sound. Isolate road noise and deliver the music/call/etc. directly in ear at the same time. The only pain in the butt is having to be cautious about throwing on your...

what givi top case to get

The 55 is BIG... I like all the room but it's a monster and I do feel like I get some high speed vibes/wobble with my yamaha touring shield all the way up. I'm thinking of picking up a 47 as that is probably sufficient.

Need Gen 2 RH mirror for my 2008

LOL, yeah, probably does. My bad. PM sent! I was thinking about this... but I'm not sure I like the look of the FZ1 mirrors and have gotten used to seeing my elbows in my mirrors.. ;-) Ummm... I would rather have the original look back... good idea though.

Need Gen 2 RH mirror for my 2008

I need a RH mirror... have some deep scratches on it from an unfortunate encounter. Initially thought "that'll buff right out" but not happening and my painting skills are non-existent. Anyone out there replaced their mirrors with FZs and willing to part with the original RH?

    A beaded seat cover? Really?

I really like my bead rider for long trips... Even with mesh pants and under armor.

    Top Case recommendation?

That example fits me pretty well... Got one of those with a Givi rack (the SR357) and it has worked for a couple of years... it's NOT very high quality though. At this point the red plastic (not an actual reflector) is popping off for the 3rd (and last) time. I'm looking at a real givi box in...

Starcom1 Advance, Garmin nuvi 765T, Droid

Mostly the wires... the Sena SMH10 is completely wireless for me and works like a champ. I found I wouldn't use the Starcom because I had to wire up every time I jumped on the bike. With the Sena all I have to do is power it up and it automatically connects up.

Starcom1 Advance, Garmin nuvi 765T, Droid

I switched over to a sena smh10... Much happier with that config than I was with the starcom...

What is the problem with manufacturers?

A little late to the party... but +1 on the Sena... I love mine. I've found that it sounds the best with earplugs in and the speakers cranked up. Battery lasts for a loooooong time (and you can run it plugged in to charge it), big jog dial on the side is easy to use with gloves, people cant...

A useful farkle for motorcyclists traveling armed

Quoted for truth and they aren't the only state either. Seriously, get to know handgunlaw.us and read up on your surrounding states. If headed out on a trip then make sure you read up on each state you intend to travel through.

    Winterizing: Sta-Bil/Lucas Safeguard Ethanol Treatmetn

I'd heard that was a bad idea as you can get condensation in the engine and exhaust which will rot it out from the inside. I would recommend seafoam and leave it alone until spring.
