MC Enterprises tip over guards - are they any good?

I have them mounted on my 2007, primarily for my trip to Alaska and my daily commute. I wanted something just in case I dropped the bike on the haul road. I find them to be easy to install, a great place to mount a set of LED lights, and they provide protection in case of a drop. I cornered...

    Tires for unpaved roads

I just returned from a 3 week trip from Ft. Worth, TX to the Arctic Circle, AK. Having spent much of that time on both the Dalton Hwy., as well as the poor Yukon roads, I would like to offer 2 points to this discussion. First, the FJR is an exceptional choice for this type of riding. Not that...

Michelin Pilot Road 3's are sublime

I went with the Pilot 3's rather than the Avon Storms that I had on my Councours. I love the Pilots, they're a little bit noisier than the Avons, but the performance is exceptional especially in the rain.

    Schuberth C3

I feel that they run a little on the smaller side. I generally wear an XL or even a XXL in most helmets. However, the XXXL from Schuberth fit me best, and fit me better than any other helmet for that matter. I've hade mine roughly 6 months and wear it every day on my commute. If it's tight now...

What's Under Your Tree for the FJR this Year?

Schuberth C3 XXXL (bigass head!), PIAA Sports horns (loudass horns!), Rok-Straps, and a new bike cover! Way to go Santa!

What's Under Your Tree for the FJR this Year?

Those "wings" are awesome! Can you provide part numbers and where to get them? I'd also be interested in some handguards. I know that several guys use Suzuki V-Strom guards, but I'd be interested in some from Yamaha, if they're available.

    Camera Gear Packing Solution

This is a great solution to a common problem for those of us who are "shooters" and consider a point-and-shoot to be less than optimal. I'm going to try it out, worst case scenario is that I end up with a 3rd or 4th camera bag. Thanks!
