    Bought a Penske Rear Shock

    Careful, Greg. that's a very gender-specific question.

Mixing Michelin Road 6 GT and 4 GT?

I mix tires as well. I always put on a front tire that is smaller than the rear.

    Anyone use tank bags?

I just put stuff straight into the tank with a string tied to it. Then I pull it out when I need it.

BrakeAway Throttle lock and heated grips??

The OP is the Original Poster, the guy who started the thread. He started it 8 months ago and never responded. We don't know if he ever followed up on this.

BrakeAway Throttle lock and heated grips??

Nothing from the OP in 8 months. I wonder if he did anything.

Old battery tender, weak charging system, or inferior battery?

It was a fluke. I rode today on an errand 60 minutes each direction. I had the heated grips on full. The panel meter is clearly wired after the ignition switch and apparently it's behind the heated grips as well because turning on the grips drops the panel meter by 0.8V. When I returned I...

Old battery tender, weak charging system, or inferior battery?

Maybe this was some kind of fluke. Today I measured the battery voltage with a DVM directly to be 13.3V. The panel meter indicated 12.8V. I started it 4 times in rapid succession and watched both meters dip below 11V. On the 4th try I had to start WOT so I let it burn fuel for a while and...

Old battery tender, weak charging system, or inferior battery?

If you think I am soliciting your opinion on whether I should use a battery tender of any kind or under any condition or if you think I am seeking your advice on what kind of battery I should have or when I should replace it, you have misread the thread title and should just hit the back button...

Wiring for Trickle Charger and Auxiliary Power

Is it the one with ring lugs at one end, an SAE connector at the other, and an inline fuse? As long as you replace the inline fuse with one that's adequate for the Slime Pump (probably 15 Amps), it's fine. The wire is heavy enough to handle the current. And you can still use the same pigtail to...

Wiring for Trickle Charger and Auxiliary Power

Your tire pump (compressor) will require a 15 Amp fuse. Your trickle charger (battery tender) won't care so much. I have had such a pigtail on my '06 and '08. The '06 was terminated in a Gerbing heated gear connector. That one required an adapter to go to an SAE quick connect for the compressor...

BrakeAway Throttle lock and heated grips??

The throttle locks made by NinWelly and XiTomer are also good options. I eventually bought the XiTomer from eBay. That thread appears here.

Michelin Road 6 vs Dunlop Roadsmart IV

And they're big and round, too.

    NinWelly (XiTomer) throttle lock

There was, in fact, a polarity. It was incredibly easy to install. There was a machined aluminum spacer which, after looking at the existing bar end, obviously went on one way. Maybe it flips over for other fitments (YZF-R1, YZF-R6). There are two friction washers which, according to a photo...

    NinWelly (XiTomer) throttle lock

As it turns out, the ones on eBay are not NinWelly like the ones on Amazon. The ones on eBay are made by a company called XiTomer. On their website they show some photos with a small set screw like on a Kaoko but the actual part doesn't have that. And on the manufacturer's or distributor's...

    Windscreen shimming

I have not heard of anyone shimming a windscreen to a more upright position. There have been several, including myself, that have shimmed them to less upright positions. For me it was moderately and only qualitatively successful. It's a very quick and easy experiment to do with a stack of washers.

    NinWelly (XiTomer) throttle lock

But I'm not a rocket scientist. I'm a nuclear physicist. I ordered an eBay version. There is a piece in the photo I don't recognize. It will have instructions or I'll just figure it out.

    NinWelly (XiTomer) throttle lock

Chuck, Russ- Thanks for the responses. I agree that it looks like a Kaoko, maybe it even works the same way. But I was looking for experience with one (I found no reviews online) or assembly instructions (I found none online). Maybe the NinWelly is a relatively new product. They're cheap on...

    NinWelly (XiTomer) throttle lock

Has any one used one of these NinWelly throttle locks? They're bar-end throttle locks. You can find them on Amazon or eBay but you can't find assembly instructions or reviews. I can't find an FJR ThrottleMeister and wondered if these would behave similarly.
