    Shopping for Seats

Also in your area is the Corbin factory. You can make an appointment and ride in for the build. The one butt on their seat is it can only be used in the low position of the bike so if you are a tall guy then probably not.

    (Tire) Life is good

I have two of these that I have had for a long time. Pretty sure I paid $85 each. Did not realize they are now $150 and up. CyclePump does an excellent job but have to agree there is probably less expensive pumps that will do the job. Whatever you get just be sure the wire and fuse size are...

This is what you need. Fits under the seat and works like a champ.

After market slip on exhaust for my 2007

Hold out for a set of Staintunes to pop up. They don't make them anymore but if you want a welded up polished Stainless steel with no pop rivets or plumber clamps holding them together then look for the Staintunes.

what would you have to do to put cruise control on 2012 from a newer bike

McCruise is the answer. Plug and play. No hacking of the wiring harness.

    Seat options

Can't really answer that. My long legs usually ask for more seat height. Have no trouble getting both feet down but where to put them while riding. 35" inseam. Call Sargent and see what they say about seat height.

    Seat options

I'm a Sargent fan. Beware, the Corbin only works in the lowest position so if you have long legs that may not work. They are firm. I like firm versus soft. I'm long legged so the Sargent works well for me and gives me plenty of room to move around front to back.

    Mazda oil filter

I have several of the Bosch filters that leak. Had a Harley guy point that out to me. They did change the way they seal to where they don't. Going to the trash.

    helmet speakers

Dave, how are the inearz as to putting your helmet on and keeping them in place? Maybe its me but I have a difficult time keeping molded plugs in place when putting the helmet on.

    helmet speakers

I use the X Sound3 speakers in two of my Arai helmets. I bought a Cardo Freecom4+ setup and ditched the JBL speakers that came with the Cardo for the X Sound 3 speakers. I hear a better bass response than the JBL's provided although its not a huge difference. Tough to get subwoofer response...

    Seat Confusion

Ride it for 4/500 miles and then see what you butt says. I like them firm and it works for me for long rides.

    Riding pants

Its 325 miles to Shallowater from Ft Worth. Motorcyclegear.com They have all their stuff in stock and you can try on pants there in the shop. Very nice folks. Just a little day trip on the FJR. Klim sizing is pretty strange so they have them in stock to get the right fit by trying on.

Installing Mc Cruise on 2012 FJR

I installed one on a Honda ST1300 and it took me about three evenings after work. Took my time and it was a fairly simple process. These guys must have the best installation instructions for anything I ever added to any vehicle. All plug and play. Zero hacking of the OEM wiring harness. Run...

    Slip-on Exhaust for 2006 FJR

I have Staintunes and love them, without baffles. What I really like about them is you never have to repack, they are welded together instead of looking like a beer can held together with pop rivets on each end, and they have a dedicated mounting tang welded to the muffler versus the Home Depot...

Sorting exhaust slip-ons pros and cons

Love my Staintunes. No rivets, no hose/rubber mounting clamps, never have to repack. Sounds great.

    PipeWerx slip-ons

Looks like some crossbreeding with Delkevic.  Very similar products.

    Garage Door Opener

Well its Friday. Me:  Hey Joe, what time is it? Joe:  Well we would need to remove the instrument cluster and find the hard to see clock display and then solder wires (preferred size 58 gauge wire) from it (careful they are small) to the big red LED readout since we are older and can't see as...

    Garage Door Opener

I have the same setup with Velcro.  Works like it should and no wiring at all.  I'm to lazy to make it any harder than that.
